In the days leading up to Tet, at the construction site of Van Ban Regional General Hospital, the construction atmosphere is still urgent. The project has a total investment of 260 billion VND from the central budget support and local budget, started in early 2022, with a implementation period of 5 years.
The project includes a 5-story main building with a construction area of 5,460m2; anti-infection block 583m2; nutrition building 553m2; Department of Infectious Diseases 650m2; 3-in-1 facility with an area of 245m2; large-scale building 180m2 along with many auxiliary items, fire prevention and fighting system and synchronous technical infrastructure.
The project is constructed by the Joint Venture of Quang Sang Construction Investment Co., Ltd., Duc Tuan Construction Investment Co., Ltd. and Van Nhan Company.
This is identified as a key medical project of the old Van Ban district, towards the standard of a Grade II General Hospital, meeting the needs of medical examination and treatment for more than 9,000 local people and neighboring areas.
Reporters' records show that outside the construction site, workers are completing the fence, asphalt paving of the main gate and auxiliary gate area. Inside the building blocks, the installation of electrical systems, air conditioning, and fire prevention and fighting are being deployed simultaneously.
The Van Ban Regional Construction Investment Project Management Board said that package No. 10 - the package with the largest value, including the main construction items - has completed more than 99% of the volume.
The investor is urging units to increase manpower, materials, and equipment to complete the remaining items such as guard houses, energizing and testing the entire technical system.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Dao Hoang Anh - representative of the supervision consulting unit - said that the project is basically completed, with only some items related to fire prevention and fighting left. After completion, acceptance will be carried out and handed over for use.
Mr. Nguyen Bao Quan - technical officer of Quang Sang Construction Investment Co., Ltd. - added that the contractor has completed almost the entire workload, currently focusing on handling small details and exterior parts, striving to hand over to the investor before the Lunar New Year.
Meanwhile, in Bac Ha commune, the Bac Ha General Hospital project with a total investment of 200 billion VND from the central budget in the 2021–2025 period is also accelerating towards the finish line.
The project is invested by the old Bac Ha District People's Committee, with a scale of 250 beds on an area of more than 50,700m2, implemented from 2022.
According to records, the 6-story block house has completed the rough construction; the 3-story administrative area and pharmaceutical warehouse are basically completed. Internal roads, electricity, water, and technical infrastructure are being synchronously constructed to meet the schedule.
Mr. Pham Van Tuan - supervision consultant - said that the project currently reaches about 95% of the volume, the contractor is completing minor shortcomings and renovating the premises, with the goal of handing over before March.
Mr. Do Viet Hung - project management officer - informed that the bidding packages have basically been 95% completed, in the near future, the asphalt pavement of the yard surface will be completed, gates and fences will be built, and it is expected to be handed over before February 27, 2026.
When completed, the two hospitals will contribute to reducing the burden on upper levels, improving the quality of medical services at the grassroots level, and better meeting the health care needs of people in the Lao Cai highlands.
