HCMC auctions 3,790 resettlement apartments in Thu Thiem for commercial housing
Ho Chi Minh City will auction 3,790 resettlement apartments in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area after many years of being abandoned, converting their function to commercial housing.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued a plan to organize an auction of 3,790 resettlement apartments in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area (An Khanh Ward) with the function of converting to commercial housing.
According to the decision, the city will divide it into two blocks for auction: block R1, R2, R3 including 2,220 apartments and block R4, R5 including 1,570 apartments.
All 3,790 apartments are located in a 38.4-hectare resettlement area next to Mai Chi Tho Avenue, part of the 12,500 apartment program serving the resettlement of the Thu Thiem New Urban Area project, which was completed in 2015.
Of the more than 8,500 apartments that have been built, the city has retained 2,924 apartments for resettlement, while the remaining 5,626 apartments are considered for auction to recover capital. Hai Phong seeks investors for a social housing project worth over VND1,000 billion
Hai Phong - The Department of Construction has just announced the search for the investor of the Social Housing Project in An Duong ward.
Accordingly, the Department of Construction publicly announced Decision No. 2483/QD-UBND dated June 30, 2025 of the City People's Committee on approving the investment policy of the Social Housing Construction Investment Project in An Hai Ward, An Duong District (now An Duong Ward, Hai Phong City); requesting investors to pay attention and register as project investors according to the law.
The project to invest in building a new social housing area with a synchronous technical infrastructure and social infrastructure system including social housing in the form of apartments, commercial housing in the form of townhouses (20% land fund), green areas, flower gardens, playgrounds and technical infrastructure works, traffic, parking lots. The project is built on a total area of about 7.65 hectares.
The scale of social housing apartments under the completed construction plan (basic interior); includes 4 areas marked C1 - C4 with an area of social housing land of about 33,201.2 m2, about 7 5-storey apartment buildings. The commercial housing area according to the rough construction plan has completed the exterior with a total land area of about 8,289.6 m2, 5 floors high. Launching the enforcement of illegal construction violations in Phuoc Thang ward, Ho Chi Minh City
HCMC - Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee has launched a campaign to enforce illegal constructions, in order to ensure construction order in the area.
On August 20, Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee organized an interdisciplinary team to fight for illegal construction works in the area.
According to the enforcement plan, Phuoc Thang ward has issued 14 enforcement decisions for works violating construction order in the area; mobilizing about 100 people from many forces to implement.
Mr. Lam Thanh Son - Deputy Head of the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Affairs Department of Phuoc Thang Ward - said that on August 20, the delegation plans to organize enforcement at 3 illegal construction works.
Of the 14 forced demolition works according to the plan, 9 works have submitted a voluntary request for demolition and committed to implementation. Of which, 3 works have been completely dismantled and 6 works are being dismantled. See more...
