Social housing in Hanoi is "hot", thousands of people waiting to submit applications every day

In the last days of October 2025, dozens of Hanoians have stayed up all night, lining up to submit documents to buy social housing in Dong Anh commune (Hanoi).

Although the investor only started receiving the application at 9am, from midnight people came, bringing chairs, blankets, food, and drinks to keep a seat, hoping to win a place to buy an apartment for 20.6 million VND/m2 - a price considered a rare "soft" in the midst of the storm of real estate prices in Hanoi.
