On June 9, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Da Nang City officially announced the invitation for consulting units to participate in the bidding package "Consulting on determining specific land prices" for a plot of land in the Golden Hills project. The package is worth VND 38,143,412 (including VAT and related costs), focusing on determining the specific value of the land lot with certificate number CA 486276, located in Area 07, Hoa Lien Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang City. The valuation will be calculated until March 2019, the winning bidder will have 30 days, from the date of signing the package contract, to complete the task.
The Golden Hills project is invested by Trung Nam Joint Stock Company, deployed on a large area in Hoa Hiep Bac ward, Hoa Hiep Nam (Lien Chieu district) and Hoa Lien commune (Hoa Vang district). With a total initial investment of up to VND 4,447 billion, the project is planned to include a commercial service area with high-rise buildings from 25 to 40 floors, a villa area with hundreds of single-tenancy and parallel apartments, a luxury apartment area, and hotel, sports and entertainment items.
However, in 2012, the Government Inspectorate concluded that the Golden Hills City Project was allocated land, leased land, and granted an investment license by Da Nang in violation of regulations. Because the People's Committee of Da Nang City has granted an Investment Registration Certificate for the Project, but has not yet prepared procedures to submit to the Prime Minister for permission according to regulations. Therefore, the Golden Hills Project has been "shelved" for many years.
