On January 28, news from Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee said that recently, information has appeared in the province about activities of buying, selling, transferring, and collecting land in some areas within the planning of energy projects, especially wind and solar power projects.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Que - Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, this situation poses a risk of land speculation, arising disputes, complaints, and mass lawsuits, causing difficulties for state management as well as affecting the progress of project implementation according to approved plans.
Faced with the above situation, in order to promptly grasp, rectify and prevent the situation of buying, selling, transferring, and collecting land illegally in the planned energy project areas, the Provincial People's Committee requests the People's Committees of communes and wards to synchronously implement management measures.
People's Committees of communes and wards need to proactively grasp the situation of land management and use in the area, especially in areas that have been, are and are expected to be planned for energy projects.

At the same time, strengthen propaganda and public information to people about land use planning and plans; advise people not to participate in buying, selling, transferring, or receiving land transfers according to rumors or unofficial information.
In addition, local authorities are responsible for detecting and promptly preventing acts of arbitrarily dividing plots, separating plots, transferring, and buying and selling land not in accordance with the law in the planned area.
In case signs of violation are detected, it is necessary to promptly report to relevant functional agencies for consideration and handling according to their authority.
Strengthening land management in energy project planning areas aims to ensure order, limit the occurrence of disputes and lawsuits, and at the same time create favorable conditions for the implementation of projects in accordance with approved plans and plans.
