On July 5, the Management Board of Bac Khanh Hoa and Nam Khanh Hoa Protective Forests announced a forest environment lease plan to interested units.
This is to exploit and develop eco-tourism, resorts, and entertainment in the forest areas of North Khanh Hoa and South Khanh Hoa.
Previously, on June 30, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province approved the Project for developing eco-tourism, resorts, and entertainment for the period 2025 - 2029 in the two protective forests of Bac Khanh Hoa and Nam Khanh Hoa.
In the Bac Khanh Hoa protective forest area, there are more than 4,100 hectares of forest. Of which, mainly natural forests, about 670 hectares are unforested land and 3 hectares are planted forests.
The project aims to attract 6-9 responsible investors to participate in developing eco-tourism associated with forest conservation by 2029.
It is expected that this area will welcome at least 30,000 visitors each year. Of which, international visitors account for 7% and the overnight stay rate reaches 20%. The project also hopes to create regular jobs for about 50 local workers.
The products and services expected to develop include: adventure tourism, exploration - experience tourism, environmental education tourism, public service tourism, food and beverage services, outdoor entertainment...

The Bac Khanh Hoa Protective Forest Management Board will implement 3 options: Self-organizing, linking - cooperating with organizations, individuals or leasing forest environment to carry out tourism activities.
The project has now identified 10 locations (more than 4,770 hectares) and 2 eco-tourism routes (more than 74 hectares) will be exploited in the first phase.
10 eco-tourism, resort and entertainment destinations include: Hoc Chim 1, 2; Suoi Binh Trung 1, 2; Da Chai 1, 2, 3, 4, Suoi Mo 1, 2.
2 eco-tourism routes: Binh Trung stream and Mo stream.
In the Nam Khanh Hoa protective forest area, there are 3,213 hectares of total natural area of the eco-tourism, resort and entertainment area.
Eco-tourism areas such as Ham Leo River; Ta Gu Waterfall; O Kha Valley; revolutionary stronghold; Son Hiep; Xom Co; To Hop; Ba Cuu Nam; Khanh Son Pass Peak.
In addition, there are also ecotourism, resort and entertainment routes: Ta Giang eco-tourism route; La Van waterfall - Sa Gai waterfall; Ca Zon waterfall - Ta Gu waterfall; Ta Gu waterfall - Hon Ba peak.
