Many new jobs at the end of the year
According to statistics from the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, in the first 9 months of 2024, nearly 1,100 new enterprises were established, equal to 58.59% of the plan, up 0.6% over the same period in 2023. However, during this time, the province also had 153 dissolved enterprises and 706 enterprises temporarily suspended operations. By mid-November 2024, there were still more than 13,000 enterprises registered to operate in the province.
In the context of economic recession, many businesses in Dak Lak have made efforts to overcome difficulties, ensuring that employees are not laid off, and that salaries and benefits are guaranteed.
According to research, entering the fourth quarter of 2024, the situation has changed in a more positive direction, many businesses in industrial parks and clusters in Dak Lak province have had many production orders, business activities have improved. Many units have started to recruit more workers, speeding up the progress of orders to supply to partners.
For example, KVD Vina Co., Ltd. is one of the units with the largest number of workers in Tan An Industrial Park. From now until the end of 2024, the unit plans to recruit 500 more workers with salaries ranging from 6 to 7 million VND/month. By early 2025, the company plans to recruit 500 more workers, bringing the total number of workers to about 3,000.
Care for union members and workers
Tin Nghia Logistics Joint Stock Company, Buon Ma Thuot City (Dak Lak Province) is creating jobs for about 160 workers, including 7 ethnic minority workers. Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, Chairman of the Buon Ma Thuot City Business Association (and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tin Nghia Logistics Joint Stock Company) shared: “In fact, for workers, what they look forward to most is the Tet bonus at the end of the year. Workers consider it a recognition for their contribution to the business throughout the year, especially during difficult times. Therefore, we will try to promote production and business activities to ensure salaries and bonuses for workers, helping them have a more fulfilling Tet holiday.”
According to the Dak Lak Provincial Labor Federation, from the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2024, the unit has issued a plan to take care of the Lunar New Year 2025 for thousands of union members and workers in the province. The activities are humane, aiming at the interests of union members and workers with the goal of leaving no one behind.
Mr. Le Van Thanh - Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial Labor Federation - said: "The subjects of care during Tet are all union members and workers in the province. Priority is given to those in especially difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, or serious illnesses..."
The trade unions at the grassroots level, industry trade unions, etc. organize diverse and flexible forms of care, focusing on the grassroots, paying attention to and supporting union members and workers working in industrial parks and industrial clusters. The unit also pays attention to union members and workers living and working in remote areas, ethnic minority areas with difficult economic and social conditions.
Implementing the online program "Trade Union Tet Market 2025", Dak Lak province has 2,060 union members and workers supported to buy goods for free. Union members and workers can buy goods and consumer products on the program's official website organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The support level is 500,000 VND/person (in cash, through the program's voucher). The beneficiaries are union members and workers with excellent achievements in work and production; union members with difficult circumstances and low income.
