Nearly a year has passed, but Mr. Tran Thanh Quang - a worker at Spectre An Giang Garment Company Limited (Binh Hoa Industrial Park, Chau Thanh District) - still remembers the "dream gift" of the whole family that the Trade Union organization "promoted" on the occasion of Tet 2024.
Like more than 1,000 members in difficult circumstances, Mr. Quang was organized many fun activities by the Trade Union of Industrial Zones in An Giang province during Tet. In particular, he was able to participate in the lucky draw program. He was lucky to win a refrigerator.
“That was the first refrigerator my family had. Since having it, part of our family life has changed positively, especially in storing food and refreshments...” - the worker living with his parents in Hoa Binh Thanh commune (Chau Thanh, An Giang) emotionally said.
In Hanoi, in addition to strengthening, monitoring, and participating in stabilizing labor relations, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Capital's Trade Union at all levels will focus resources on taking care of union members and employees, especially those in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, work-related accidents, and occupational diseases.
In addition to activities such as "Tet Sum Vay", "Tet Union Market", organizing trips to pick up and drop off workers to celebrate Tet and return to work, the Capital Trade Union also supports travel in cash for workers in some localities.
The bus is expected to take workers home on the morning of January 25, 2025, the morning of December 26, the year of the Dragon 2024. About 5,000 workers will be supported with bus tickets to return home for Tet. Of these, 2,000 workers returning to Nghe An and Ha Tinh will be supported with VND 500,000/person; 2,000 workers returning to Thanh Hoa will be supported with VND 300,000/person; 1,000 workers returning to some northern provinces such as Ha Giang, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La, Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Bac Can, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Lang Son will be supported with VND 300,000/person.

The Nam Dinh Provincial Federation of Labor has just planned to organize activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025. Priority will be given to workers in especially difficult circumstances, those with occupational diseases, serious illnesses, work accidents, and those affected by natural disasters, storms and floods, etc.
According to Mr. Hoang Dinh Trung - Chairman of Nam Dinh Provincial Labor Federation, about 10,000 gifts in cash and in kind will be supported from the Provincial Labor Federation's budget and socialized sources.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor visited and encouraged some units with workers staying at agencies, units, and enterprises during Tet; some families of workers with especially difficult circumstances. In particular, 200 - 300 bus tickets were supported for union members and workers to return home for Tet, with a support level of 300,000 - 500,000 VND/person.
Create effective and practical care activities
One of the activities that the Hanoi City Labor Federation recommends that all levels of the Union actively implement on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 is to promote the Union's supervision of the implementation of Decree 74/2024/ND-CP dated June 30, 2024 of the Government regulating the minimum wage for employees working under labor contracts and the law on wages at enterprises; coordinate with local authorities to participate in inspection and examination of compliance with labor laws, unions, social insurance, etc.
In particular, employers are requested to provide early and complete information so that employees know clearly about the plan, time of salary payment, salary increase, bonus payment and allowances, support for employees during the New Year and Lunar New Year; ensure full and timely payment according to the plan, avoid the situation of salary and bonus arrears of employees leading to the risk of disputes and instability in labor relations at the enterprise.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Giang - Permanent Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor - said that, in addition to promoting internal resources from trade union financial resources, An Giang also advocates flexibly receiving external resources to increase care for union members and workers. In addition to taking advantage of the "sharing of fire" from the province's "Fund for the Poor", trade union levels actively advise party committees, heads of agencies, units, and enterprises to join hands to take care of Tet for union members and workers... That flexible approach has raised the total mobilized care to about 100 billion VND, helping all union members and workers have conditions to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet fully and warmly. This year, for the first time, the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor advised the Provincial Party Committee to invite members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to participate in delegations to visit workers in the localities under their charge.
This is considered the final "piece" that creates a complete picture of the Party's concern for Party members and workers.
