On January 6, at the conference to review 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025, the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union said that according to reports from units, the labor situation in 2024 is stable.
The number of employees in the Group's units is currently more than 20,000, the number of union members in the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union is currently nearly 20,000. All enterprises are trying to maintain production, ensuring jobs for workers with an average income of nearly 15 million VND/person/month.
The union has effectively participated in managing, caring for the lives and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
Up to now, 100% of units have successfully organized Labor Conferences. Many units have maintained the organization of periodic dialogues at the workplace in various forms.
The dialogue focused on resolving policies for workers, improving working conditions and jointly resolving difficulties and finding solutions in production and business for businesses to develop, such as DAP-Vinachem Joint Stock Company, Ha Bac Fertilizer and Chemical Joint Stock Company, Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company, Viet Duc Electric Welding Rod Joint Stock Company, LIX Detergent Joint Stock Company, Viet Tri Chemical Joint Stock Company, Lam Thao Super Phosphate and Chemical Joint Stock Company, Southern Rubber Industry Joint Stock Company.
During the year, union members and workers proposed 1,875 ideas, of which 1,534 initiatives generated a profit of nearly 106 billion VND. Units awarded 970 individuals and workers with creative ideas with a total amount of 1.23 billion VND. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the Creative Labor Certificate to 13 individuals from Lam Thao Superphosphate and Chemical Joint Stock Company, Southern Rubber Industry Joint Stock Company, Southern Battery Joint Stock Company, etc.
In 2025, the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union sets out directions and tasks. In particular, the grassroots trade union needs to advise the government well to implement the grassroots democracy regulations. Organize well the workers' conference, the conference of civil servants from the group level up to ensure true democracy.
In particular, the Union needs to coordinate with professionals to strive to add 1-2 more favorable provisions for workers to the Collective Labor Agreement each year and add provisions to further improve the quality of mid-shift meals for workers to the Collective Labor Agreement.
