Afternoon of August 6, the Trade Union of Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) organized the inauguration ceremony of the competition project "Submersion of the power grid in the area inside Phan Dinh Phung - Hoang Van Thu - Nguyen Van Troi and Truong Sa streets".
This is a competition project at the level of the Vietnam Electricity Group and is a practical activity to welcome the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024) and the 48th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh City Power Grid Management and Distribution Department, now EVNHCMC (August 7, 1976 - August 7, 2024).
The project "Submersion of the power grid in the area inside Phan Dinh Phung - Hoang Van Thu - Nguyen Van Troi and Truong Sa streets" is an industrial project belonging to the energy group level IV with a total investment of over 6.7 billion dong, invested by EVNHCMC, started construction in December 2019, and submersion construction on some streets in Phu Nhuan district, Ho Chi Minh City.
When completed and put into operation, it will ensure the current load and meet the future load development capacity in the submersion area and adjacent areas, while improving the reliability, safety, and quality of power supply to important loads, contributing to reducing power losses on the power grid in Phu Nhuan district.
At the ceremony, Mr. Do Duc Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union - highly appreciated the efforts of the EVNHCMC labor union in implementing the above-mentioned competition project and the submersion of the power grid system in Ho Chi Minh City over the past few years. "The success of this project is the result of the relentless efforts, high sense of responsibility of the EVNHCMC labor union, and the trade union members and officials." - Mr. Hung emphasized.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union and the EVNHCMC Trade Union awarded many certificates of merit, certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with many achievements in the process of implementing the above-mentioned project.
