Speaking at the opening, Mr. Do Duc Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, said that the plan to organize Workers' Month activities in 2026 of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union clearly states:

Activities must be practical, taking workers as the center, grassroots trade unions as the foundation, digital transformation as a tool and substantive efficiency as a measure.

The series of practical activities is both to honor, recognize, and encourage the emulation movement among workers and employees in the Electricity industry, and to continue to spread the good values in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, while creating a space for meeting, listening, and sharing between trade union organizations and union members and employees in Vietnam Electricity Group.

2,979 initiatives, reaching 119.2% compared to the target of 2,500 initiatives/year

Implementing the emulation movement "Creative Labor" and the movement "10,000 Initiatives" among workers and employees of Vietnam Electricity Group, in 2025, the entire Group recorded 2,979 initiatives, reaching 119.2% compared to the target of 2,500 initiatives/year of the first year of implementing the Program. These results show that when there is attention and direction in the right direction, close coordination between trade unions and professionals; when workers are inspired to create, the emulation movement does not stop at slogans but truly becomes an important resource to promote labor productivity, quality and efficiency in each unit and Group.

One of the motivations that helps workers in the Electricity industry rise up is studying and following Uncle Ho. 5 years of implementing Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW of the Politburo in the team of officials, union members, CNVCLĐ of the Electricity industry, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style has gradually become systematic, associated with political tasks, associated with emulation movements, associated with caring for and protecting workers, and at the same time associated with building a team of responsible, exemplary, close to the grassroots level, close to workers trade union officials. These results affirm that studying and following Uncle Ho is not just a formal content but has been and is being concretized by practical actions, by a sense of responsibility in work, by a spirit of service, dedication and standards in each labor position.

Typical workers carry honor and responsibility

In order to honor people who are working in ordinary positions but have made very great contributions, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union commended Typical Electricity Industry Workers in 2026. They are people who directly work, directly produce, directly maintain safe, continuous, and stable electricity for the country; people who have initiatives, are responsible, have a spirit of overcoming difficulties and always strive to excellently complete assigned tasks.

Each individual praised is a beautiful flower in the Group's emulation flower garden; and also a typical representative of tens of thousands of electricity workers who are silently contributing day and night throughout the country.

With the story of the program "Meeting in May", the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union wishes to create an open, close, and sincere space for direct workers, grassroots trade union officials, and typical faces to have the opportunity to share their career stories, contribution stories, stories of overcoming difficulties, innovation, creativity, and growth from the working environment of each unit throughout EVN.

At the series of key activities in the Workers' Month of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, on behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice President Phan Van Anh requested trade union levels of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union to focus on implementing a number of key activities.
