Recently, Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Construction, Chairman of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union - attended the first Conference of the Asia-Pacific Office under the Transport, Seaports, Fisheries and Communications Trade Union (TUI TPFC) and the 12th National Congress of the Indian Road Workers' Union (AIRTWF-CITU) in Kerala, India. Vietnam Construction Trade Union is a member of TUI TPFC.
Attending the conference were Mr. Swadeshi dev Roye - Deputy General Secretary of the World Federation of Labor (WFTU); Mr. Ali Riza Kucukosmanoglu - Chairman of TUI TPFC, TUI TPFC Steering Committee and delegates of the Transport Trade Union from 7 countries in the region.
At the conference, Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union, representing 137,000 union members of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union, sent a greeting of solidarity, friendship and cooperation to the TUI TPFC Board of Directors and all transportation trade unions in the region, and informed them about the organizational structure, the situation of the labor movement and some outstanding activities of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union to represent, protect legitimate rights and interests and care for the lives of union members and workers.
Mr. Ali Riza Kucukosmanoglu - Chairman of the Transport, Seaport, Fisheries and Communications Trade Union TUI TPFC - thanked the delegates for valuable information on the situation of union members and trade union activities in countries provided by the delegates; general information for the delegates on the situation and difficulties of workers in the fields of transportation, seaports, fisheries and communications in the world.
At the end of the conference, delegates approved the action plan of the Asia - Pacific Office under TUI TPFC in the coming time to enhance connection, solidarity and cooperation between trade unions in the region; develop a communication plan, share experiences, continue to support trade unions in the transport sector of countries to improve the capacity to fight to protect workers' rights.

In addition to the TUI TPFC Conference, Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union - attended the 12th National Congress of the Indian Road Workers' Union (CITU) - the largest union in India.
The Congress of the Indian Road Workers' Union (CITU) was attended by more than 600 delegates representing more than 1 million union members of the Indian road transport sector and representatives of the leaders of state of Kerala and transport trade unions of countries in the region.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong congratulated the achievements of the Indian Road Workers' Union in recent times; affirmed the solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the Vietnam Construction Trade Union and the Indian Road Workers' Union.
The working trip of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union delegation was a great success, a vivid demonstration of the spirit of international solidarity of the working class, and at the same time clearly demonstrated the active role of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union in promoting dialogue, sharing experiences and coordinating actions for the common goal: Protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers.
