On April 21, the Advisory Council of the guest professor program at VNU-HCM approved the list of 16 first international professors and experts who meet the program's standards.
The approved list includes professors, associate professors and researchers from many prestigious universities in the world such as Harvard Medical School, Georgetown University (USA), University of Toronto (Canada), Munich Technical University (Germany), Institute of Advanced Sciences and Technology (Japan) ...
These are prestigious experts in fields such as artificial intelligence, microchip design, medicine, biotechnology, ethnology, ngon nguology, digital agriculture and climate change, etc.
Experts will cooperate in research and teaching at member schools and research institutes of VNU-HCM through online and in-person forms.
guest lecturer is a title appointed by the Director of VNU-HCM, working under a part-time mechanism, performing teaching and research in person or online.
Regarding the appointment criteria, candidates must have outstanding achievements in teaching, research and technology transfer, with contributions expressed through international publications, patents and technology products.
guest professors will be appointed by the Director of VNU-HCM for a maximum period of 5 years, at least 1 year and may be extended. They will receive competitive remuneration and support for travel and accommodation when working at VNU-HCM.
In addition, they also have access to modern facilities, laboratories and research resources at VNU-HCM member schools.
Each visiting professor must spend at least 10 working days directly at VNU-HCM each year; proactively plan and participate in teaching in person or online; be ready to organize scientific seminars, co-study and support the development of international cooperation proposals as well as support the development of strong research groups.
