Cucumbers, lemons, mint
Cucumbers and lemons are mainly water-based and very low in calories. Adding lemon makes the water easier to drink. Studies show that drinking water before meals can reduce food intake. Peppermint helps support digestion and can reduce bloating and indigestion. These are indirectly helpful in controlling waistline.
How to do:
Take 500 ml of water, 46 slices of cucumber, a few fresh mint leaves and the juice of half a lemon. Mix well and steep for 1520 minutes before drinking. You can take a sipping of the day or drink it before meals to increase the feeling of fullness.
Drink 1530 minutes before main meals to help reduce hunger, or drink sparingly throughout the day to replace high-calorie drinks.
Pineapple, ginger, lemon
Ginger has been shown in some studies to help reduce thermogenesis and improve body composition. Pineapple provides the enzyme bromelain with anti-inflammatory and digestive support effects. Lemon helps enhance flavor and add vitamin C. When combined, this trio can improve digestion, reduce bloating after meals and slightly increase the ability to burn calories.
How to do:
Blend 1 cup of fresh pineapple into pieces, 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh ginger, the juice of half a lemon and 1 cup of filtered water or coconut water. Filter if desired and serve cold.
You can drink it in the morning or before exercising to have a gentle drink that adds energy, aids digestion and metabolism. Note to control your portion sizes because pineapple contains a significant amount of natural sugar.
Celery, green apple, parsley
Celery and green apples provide a lot of water and fiber, helping to increase satiety. Parsley adds micronutrients and antioxidants, and can also support sodium balance in the body.
How to make: Blend 3 celery branches (cut into cloves), 1 small green apple (cored), a handful of parsley and half a cup of water.
Drink immediately after blending, unfiltered, to retain fiber to create a better feeling of fullness and support digestion.
This mixture can be taken in the morning or as a mid-afternoon drink to naturally reduce cravings.
