Many job opportunities for unemployed workers
At the 3rd job fair in 2025, more than 20 businesses and units registered to recruit workers, including many large-scale general labor recruitment companies such as: Global Star Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd. (Ho Nai Industrial Park) specializing in the production of civil electrical appliances, recruiting 800 general workers; Pou Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bau Xeo Industrial Park, Doi 61 Commune, Trang Bom District) specializing in shoe production also recruited more than 700 workers.
Mr. Vo Van Quyen (name changed), 43 years old, said: About 3 years ago, he worked for a shoe manufacturing company in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Bien Hoa City. However, because the company moved him to a new workplace nearly 250km away from his old workplace, he was forced to resign because his family was in Bien Hoa City. After quitting his job, Mr. Quyen worked part-time to earn more. However, due to unstable income, Mr. Quyen went to the job exchange to submit his application.
The Dong Nai Provincial Employment Service Center said that this time, the demand for labor recruitment at the job exchange is mostly unskilled laborers with more than 2,000 people (accounting for nearly 80%) mainly in the garment, footwear, and electronics industries. However, unskilled workers and skilled workers participate in finding jobs at the fair very little, mainly still unemployed workers but do not meet some criteria of the enterprise, especially age.
Consulting and introducing jobs for more than 10,000 unemployed workers
A representative of the Dong Nai Provincial Employment Service Center said: The current common reality is the lack of connection and common points between the capacity, experience, and desires of workers and the recruitment and welfare requirements of enterprises. There is still a situation where workers continue to be unemployed while there are many vacant positions due to not being suitable in age, skills or desired work locations, leading to ineffective consulting and connection work between workers and businesses.
In order to support, the Center shall review and collect employment needs for workers who are receiving unemployment benefits when they come to the center to contact job search notices. From there, the Center will connect to workers with businesses wishing to recruit a large number of unskilled workers in the area (from 50 or more common workers) mainly in the field of textiles, leather shoes, electronics. Accumulated from the beginning of the year until now, the center has advised and introduced jobs for more than 10,000 unemployed workers.
In order to promote job creation for unemployed workers in the province, the Dong Nai Provincial Employment Service Center has strengthened activities to connect labor supply and demand in many forms to increase job access opportunities for workers.
In addition, support workers in vocational training to find jobs that suit their skills and return to the labor market soon.
Information from the Department of Home Affairs said that from the beginning of 2025 to now, there have been nearly 500 businesses registered to recruit in the province with a need for more than 24,000 workers, most of whom are unskilled workers. However, the number of recruited enterprises is very small, only reaching about 20-30% of the demand.
Dong Nai Provincial Employment Service Center has just organized the 3rd free job fair in 2025, attracting 20 participating enterprises with a recruitment demand of 2,716 workers, including 2,163 positions for unskilled workers. The platform attracted about 400 workers to find jobs, resulting in about 160 people being recruited.
