On April 27, at Dai Dong - Hoan Son Industrial Park, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province coordinated with the Provincial Labor Federation to organize the launching ceremony of "month of action on occupational safety and hygiene and Workers' Month" in 2025.
Mr. Le Xuan Loi - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Ha - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor attended.
Along with the development of industrial parks and clusters and the development of the number of enterprises in economic sectors, it has directly impacted the rapid increase in the number of workers in the province.
By the end of 2024, the number of workers in units and enterprises in the province was 423,203 people. Of which, the number of workers working in industrial parks is 294,127 people; local workers are 73,532 people (accounting for 25%); female workers are 162,335 people (accounting for 55.18%), foreign workers are 13,417 people (accounting for 3.17%).
Responding to the "month of Action on occupational safety and health and safety and Workers' Month" in 2025 with the theme "Strengthening assessment, identification of risks and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace", "Vietnamese workers pioneering in the new era", Party committees, authorities, especially trade unions, will have many practical activities towards workers.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Loi suggested: All levels, sectors, localities, enterprises, and employers should strengthen and improve the effectiveness of management of occupational safety and hygiene. Implement well the Law on Occupational Safety and Hygiene, Directive No. 31-CT/TW of the Secretariat "On continuing to strengthen the Party's leadership in occupational safety and hygiene in the new situation".
Focus on developing science and technology, innovation and conversion of national numbers in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo. Promoting the role of labor management industry and trade union organization in state management, inspection, examination and supervision of labor safety and hygiene training for workers, especially in units and businesses at high risk of occupational accidents and occupational diseases. Strictly, timely and publicly handled on the mass media about violating enterprises and individuals.
In order for the theme of the 2025 workers' month to be practical and come to life, the Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee proposed the Trade Union levels in the province to focus on developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions; Directing the grassroots grassroots level to advise well with the Party committee, closely coordinate with the government of the same level to organize the implementation of the month of workers associated with the month of action on occupational safety and health to ensure practicality, efficiency, economy, suitable for living and working conditions of union members and workers. Proactively solve urgent issues, well perform the function of participating in protecting the legitimate and legitimate rights and interests of workers. At the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded the excellent achievement in the work of occupational safety and health in 2024 to the two units of the Minister of Home Affairs; awarding certificates of merit from the Department of Employment (Ministry of Home Affairs) to a collective with many achievements in occupational safety and sanitation in 2024; awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province for 6 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of occupational safety and health in 2024; awarding certificates of merit from the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee to 30 individuals with typical and excellent achievements in the movement of good labor emulation and creative labor.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, a series of activities coordinated by the Provincial Labor Federation include: Folk games; Singing for workers to listen to, listen to workers sing and welfare activities through free booths, discounts... attracting a large number of union members and workers to participate.
