Mr. Vo Thanh Hung - Chairman of the Trade Union of Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company - said that in addition to ensuring the prescribed policies, the unit's Trade Union also implements a nursery model for children of employees and employees.
"Youth facilities as well as the Executive Board of the Trade Union do not collect tuition fees. Parents only pay for meals for children over 12 months old. In particular, the teachers in charge of childcare are employees of the company and have expertise in education, ensuring the best care for the children. Therefore, the company's employees can work with peace of mind and ensure labor productivity, Mr. Hung shared.
Most recently, during the Workers' Month, Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Trade Union organized a Trade Union Meal and thanked workers for about 1,900 members and employees at the unit. The program not only aims to improve the quality of meals, but also contributes to creating more cohesion between the Union and the enterprise with members and employees.
At the Trade Union of Tri - Viet International Company Limited, the rate of units is also over 90%. The union's development work is carried out throughout, in parallel with caring activities.
Mr. Quach Minh Thao - Chairman of the Trade Union of Tri-Viet International Company Limited informed that currently, the labor force that has signed an official contract at the unit all participate in the Trade Union organization. As for the remaining section, after about 2 months of probation, if officially accepted, the grassroots trade union will also create favorable conditions for employees to participate in the union and enjoy the rights of union members.
In addition to giving gifts on holidays, Tet, birthdays, visiting in difficult times... employees at the company with 1 year of seniority will be able to participate in annual vacation trips to regenerate energy. Some members of the company have been supported with the Trade Union Shelter and their lives have now become more stable.
Developing union members is a continuous task
Determining that the work of developing units and establishing grassroots trade unions is a core and continuous task, the Can Tho City Labor Federation has set out specific plans and directed all levels of trade unions to promote them. Since the beginning of the year, Can Tho Trade Unions at all levels have developed 2,853 new units.
At the same time, the city is also focusing on improving the quality of units, through coordination with enterprises and directing grassroots unions to honor and commend units and employees with many initiatives, good practices, creativity, and benefits for businesses.
In Hau Giang province, implementing the Plan for developing units and establishing grassroots unions in 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor has increased direction and guidance for grassroots unions and grassroots unions to innovate the content and form of propaganda to promote the development of units, establish grassroots unions and introduce outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of admission.
Accordingly, the province has newly established 66 grassroots unions and grassroots unions. Of which, there are 7 non-state trade unions with 20 or more employees; 37 informal trade unions, 2 grassroots security and order protection forces, and 18 grassroots militia and self-defense forces. Trade unions at all levels have developed 6,562 new units. The actual increase in union members is 3,825/6,000%, reaching 63.75% of the target of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
To improve the quality of Trade Union activities at the grassroots level, and to fulfill the task of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of members and employees, the Provincial Federation of Labor coordinated with the Trade Union Training Center to organize a trade union training course for 200 Trade Union officials at all levels to attend. The direct superior trade unions at the grassroots level coordinated with relevant agencies to organize 3 training courses and foster professional skills in trade union work for 360 grassroots trade union officials.
