A large number of workers are "disoriented"
According to the Ministry of the Interior's forecast, a large force of labor in the non -business unit after the plan of arranging and streamlining the state apparatus will participate in the labor market. This will put pressure on the problem of connecting jobs for these subjects.
From the perspective of a job-connecting unit, Mr. Vu Quang Thanh - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service Center - said that to confirm whether this labor force can meet suitable job positions in enterprises and the private sector or not, there will be a need for specific assessments and surveys.
"After receiving the information of workers in the streamlining apparatus participating in job search at the center, we will have evaluated the quality of labor about the qualifications and skills of skills for this group.
Mr. Pham Ngoc Toan - Director of Information and Public Service Forecasting Information Center, State and Labor Institute of Science (Ministry of Home Affairs) assessed that workers in the basic public sector have a high level of education, most of them graduated from university or higher, and trained in many different fields. They have skills and experienced working administrative and public duties, have a deep understanding of the public, cultural - political management system.
However, when coming out of the public sector to find new jobs in the private sector, this group of workers will face many difficulties because many people are not used to working according to KPI, lack negotiation and business skills, or are not good at working in corporate groups.
In addition, due to being used to a stable, little-changing environment, when moving to the private sector, they often have difficulty with the speed and intensity of work. Moreover, this group will also have to compete with young workers, the new labor group to enter the labor market.
Opportunity for change
According to Mr. Toan, in the context of the State apparatus being streamlined and the reorganization of the organization is being accelerated, many cadres and civil servants will have to switch to working in the private sector - an environment very different from the public sector. This is an opportunity but also a challenge, because businesses operate according to the principle of efficiency, competition and flexibility.
Dont just carry title or seniority - carry skills and a learning spirit. First of all, workers should red identify their strengths. This is an important step to rebuild the application and prepare for interviews in the private sector. Next, learn some new skills - no need for super-high, just practical: Such as being proficient in using Google Workspace, advanced Excel, writing professional Email, teamwork skills according to the business model... These skills will help employees adapt quickly and become valuable in the eyes of employers, Mr. Toan advised.
More importantly, according to Mr. Toan, workers need to change their thinking from stability to proactiveness, from compliance to value creation. In the private sector, qualifications or working age are not as important as whether workers can produce real results or not. If necessary, workers should not hesitate to start over, take a more modest position to learn, and then move up with their own strength. That is the most sustainable and substantial development path.
