Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters on December 24, Mr. Nguyen Van Chi, Chairman of the Trade Union of Crystal Martin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bac Giang province) said that on January 17, the Trade Union will organize a Tet Sum Vay for union members in especially difficult circumstances (poor households, near-poor households, people with serious illnesses, and disabilities). In the program, the union will give gifts and cash to these cases to help them ease their difficulties at the end of the year and encourage their spirit.
Accordingly, those in difficult circumstances will receive support of 500,000 VND; those in extremely difficult circumstances will receive 1 million VND. In other cases, the company and the union will give gifts. The grassroots union will transfer 200,000 VND to union members.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of the Trade Union of Ha Bac Garment Export Company (Bac Giang) - said that on the occasion of New Year 2025, the grassroots Trade Union organized an improved fresh meal on December 31, before the Tet holiday. The meal cost 65,000-70,000 VND. The company gave a New Year bonus to all employees. Workers with indefinite-term contracts were awarded 1.6 million VND/person; workers with fixed-term contracts were awarded 1.3 million VND/person; newly signed workers were awarded 1.1 million VND/person; probationary workers were awarded 900,000 VND/person.
For Lunar New Year, the grassroots union gives gifts to union members worth 320,000 VND/person. In addition, the union also gives gifts to workers in difficult circumstances. According to statistics, the company has 58 workers in difficult circumstances. These cases are given a gift worth 650,000 VND (including 500,000 VND in cash and a gift package). The company will give Tet bonuses according to the same calculation as every year at 3 levels of 9, 10, 11% of a worker's total annual income.
Allocate funds and support packages to take care of Tet for union members and workers
In Bac Ninh, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Bac Ninh province directed grassroots trade unions to base on the plan to organize activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of the province and the actual situation of the unit, develop a plan to care for and support union members and workers in accordance with the actual situation; report to the Party Committee, propose to local authorities, and professional leaders to allocate funds and support packages to care for and support union members and workers during Tet.
