Learning from Uncle Ho from dedication to work
Mr. Phan Van Quang - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of the Hoi An World Cultural Heritage Conservation Center said: during his lifetime, in conversations with officials and people, President Ho Chi Minh always emphasized the spirit of responsibility associated with assigned tasks and dedication to serving the people in work.
At the Hoi An World Cultural Heritage Conservation Center, that spirit is concretized by practical actions of the trade union organization over the years.
Not only doing a good job of taking care of union members' lives, grassroots trade unions also accompany professionals in encouraging cadres, civil servants, and workers to complete the task of preserving and promoting the value of world cultural heritage.
In a special working environment, where each official is contributing to preserving the historical and cultural values of Hoi An for future generations, studying and following Uncle Ho is expressed by the spirit of responsibility, dedication and awareness of serving the community.
Emulation movements do not stop at completing work targets but also aim to build a united, civilized, and responsible working environment.
Many activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members are maintained regularly; the thoughts and aspirations of workers are listened to and resolved promptly.
It is from those seemingly ordinary actions that have contributed to creating collective strength and cohesion in the unit.
Taking union members as the center of all activities
Mr. Phan Van Quang - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of the Hoi An World Cultural Heritage Conservation Center said that the most important thing in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style is to transform it into specific actions.
Learning from Uncle Ho is not something too big. With the trade union organization, learning from Uncle Ho is first of all to be close to union members, listen to union members and solve practical problems of union members. When workers feel the concern and companionship of the trade union, that is also when learning and following Uncle Ho brings real effectiveness," Mr. Quang shared.
According to Mr. Quang, for many years, grassroots trade unions have always identified union members as the center of all activities. From caring for life, protecting legitimate rights to building a united and democratic working environment, all are aimed at improving the quality of life and creating motivation for workers to feel secure in their work.
That is also the reason why emulation movements at the unit always receive positive responses from union members. Good deeds and good initiatives are spread from daily work practice instead of formal movements.
Being praised by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as an advanced example in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style is an honor for the collective of the grassroots Trade Union of the Hoi An World Cultural Heritage Conservation Center.
But more than just a reward, it is recognition for a persistent journey to bring Uncle Ho's values into daily life and work.
Because learning from Uncle Ho does not lie in great things, but starts from each trade union official doing their job well, being closer to union members, more dedicated to work and always putting the collective interests first.
That is also the path to build an increasingly strong trade union organization, worthy of the trust of union members and workers.
