Developing organization, provide real care
Since the beginning of the year, the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor has mobilized the establishment of 35 new grassroots trade unions (CDCS), admitting 1,020 union members. The whole province currently has 696 grassroots unions with 43,912 union members. This figure not only reflects the development in scale, but also shows the increasingly high attraction and prestige of the Trade Union organization in working and producing life.
The work of building the Party among workers, civil servants and laborers continues to be focused on. Trade unions at all levels have introduced 179 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration, of which 30 union members were admitted, including 10 direct workers. This is a meaningful result, demonstrating the role of the Trade Union in discovering and training cadres from practical labor and production.
In parallel with the development of organization, the preparation and organization of trade union congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term has been implemented methodically and seriously. As of October 31, 2025, all commune and ward-level trade union congresses have been completed; the grassroots trade union congress will be completed in mid-December 2025.
Practice in many enterprises and units shows that the representative and caring role of trade unions is increasingly in-depth. For example, at Viet Trung Joint Stock Company (Nam Trach commune), where there are 517 union members, the new term union congress comprehensively evaluated the results of the past term, especially the activities of salary and welfare care, contributing to stabilizing production and business. In production units such as Ben Hai Forestry Company and Song Gianh Seafood Joint Stock Company, trade unions have signed collective labor agreements with many provisions that are beneficial to employees such as 13th month salary, support for holidays, Tet, birthdays, sightseeing, and timely support for union members in difficulty and sick.
In the health and education sector, grassroots trade unions promote the movement "Good workers - Creative workers", applying techniques, scientific research, implementing democratic regulations and participating in Party building, contributing to improving the quality of service to the people...
Innovating methods, focusing on union members
Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen The Lap said that the coming term is a pivotal period, requiring trade unions at all levels to strongly innovate their methods of operation, improve the quality of the staff and effectively represent and protect the rights of workers.
"We focus on directing the organization of conventions to learn from experience, then expand. Special attention is paid to preparing personnel for the new term executive committee, ensuring standards, structure, and compliance with democratic principles. An important highlight is the implementation of directly electing grassroots union chairmen in some units, in order to increase democracy and improve the quality of union officials" - Mr. Nguyen The Lap emphasized.
According to the orientation of the Provincial Federation of Labor, in the coming term, trade unions at all levels will focus on improving the quality of dialogue, negotiation, signing of collective labor agreements, ensuring the highest benefits for workers...
With the spirit of solidarity, innovation and synchronous participation of trade unions at all levels, Quang Tri Trade Union is facing a great opportunity to make a breakthrough in the new term.
