More than 215,000 people were visited and supported
According to Mr. Vo Manh Son - Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, in the first 6 months of 2025, the Trade Unions at all levels coordinated with leaders of the Central, local, agency, unit and enterprise to visit and give gifts to 215,177 union members and workers with a total cost of more than 215 billion VND.
Along with that, the Provincial Federation of Labor has supported the construction and repair of 102 "Union Shelters", with a total cost of more than VND4.133 billion, contributing to helping union members' families overcome difficulties and settle down.
Cultural, artistic and sports activities are organized enthusiastically from the grassroots to the grassroots level, attracting a large number of union members and workers to participate. This is not only an opportunity to connect the working community but also helps improve spiritual life, creating an exciting atmosphere in the emulation of labor production, actively contributing to the development of the locality and enterprises.
The program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" is one of the typical activities of Thanh Hoa Trade Union during the Lunar New Year, organized live on television at 3 locations, giving 800 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances. At the same time, 15 union members were supported to repair and rebuild houses with a total value of more than 1.6 billion VND.
Not stopping there, Trade Unions at all levels have directed the simultaneous organization of the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" with the spirit of "All union members and workers have Tet". The trade union also coordinated to welcome working delegations from the Central Government, the National Assembly, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the province to visit, encourage and give gifts to workers in difficult circumstances.
In addition, the program "Workers' Day - Market of Love" is organized with 100 essential booths, including cold-fried booths and deep discount sales, serving the consumption needs of workers.
During the "Workers' Month" and "Workers' Safety and Hygiene Month" in 2025, with the theme "Vietnamese Workers - Pioneers entering a new era", activities to care for and protect workers were vigorously implemented throughout the province. From dialogue at the workplace, health check-ups, legal advice, to honoring outstanding workers, Trade Unions at all levels have promoted their role as representatives and companions of workers in all circumstances.
Towards the grassroots, with workers as the center
Talking to PV of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Vo Manh Son affirmed: We clearly identify that workers are the center of all union activities. From there, it is necessary to continue to innovate care and protection methods in a practical, effective and sustainable direction".
According to Mr. Son, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor has proposed many specific solutions to successfully complete tasks in the last 6 months of the year: Arrange the organization of the trade union apparatus at all levels in a streamlined and efficient manner; restructure the team of cadres and civil servants; promote the development of union members, establish grassroots trade unions and trade unions, strive to exceed the target by 2025.
The Provincial Trade Union also focuses on introducing outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of admission, implementation of union member welfare programs, implementation of grassroots democracy regulations, supervision of policy implementation for workers, participation in handling complaints and denunciations and improving the capacity to represent and file lawsuits in court.
In particular, Trade Unions at all levels continue to proactively seek new partners and sign cooperation programs to provide preferential products and services to union members. Thereby, creating a clear difference in the rights of union members compared to workers who are not union members, enhancing the attractiveness, practicality and prestige of the Trade Union organization in social life.
