Mr. Nguyen Van Hai (38 years old) - the owner of a garment business in Thai Binh said that since the beginning of March 2025, he has decided to install 12 large-capacity air conditioners so that workers have a cool working environment when summer comes.
I used to work as a worker, so I understand the hardships of workers in hot weather. In fact, summer is a terrible obsession without large-capacity fans or air conditioners" - Mr. Hai said.
According to Mr. Hai, his workshop is over 600m2 large, with a capacity of 150 workers, so 12 18,000 BTU air conditioners combined with fans are enough to soothe the heat. Mr. Hai revealed the cost of the installation was about 150 million VND.
To make the air conditioner operate continuously from morning to night, even during lunch break, without being too expensive, Mr. Hai has invested in an additional solar power system. The installation cost of 200 million VND helps save nearly 3 million VND in electricity bills per month.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao (27 years old) - a garment worker working at the company could not hide her joy when the company equipped air conditioners to cool down.
"When the company has air conditioners, I like to work at home more. When the body is comfortable, labor productivity is also guaranteed" - Ms. Thao said.
Sharing more, Ms. Thao said that working in a cool environment, workers are guaranteed a lot of health. She no longer experiences dehydration, is exhausted and often goes home and has weak limbs like last summer.
In early April 2025, ATU II Garment Export Joint Stock Company (Nam Dinh) also equipped the air conditioning system at the workshop. When the air conditioning officially started, the workers were working extremely excitedly.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh (22 years old) - a garment worker working at ATU II Garment Export Joint Stock Company - used to work for 2 companies. For her, every summer is a nightmare. This year, she decided to move to a new company to work so she would no longer worry about being hot.
Previously, every summer, we had to prepare a 1.5-liter bottle of ice cream, I also often went out to buy refreshing water to drink. At ATU II, despite the hot weather, I have not finished drinking the bottle of water to take away" - Ms. Ngoc Anh shared.
According to the female worker, air conditioning not only helps her feel comfortable but also helps her work more enthusiastically.
According to Ms. Ngoc Anh, installing air conditioners for workers proves that the company values the health of workers. Because in her heart, she always thought that this was only for those working in offices.
