On January 21, the People's Public Security Trade Union (PCCT) said that in order to promote the welfare of union members on the occasion of the 2025 Lunar New Year, and to strive to ensure that all union members and workers, regardless of circumstances, are taken care of promptly, clearly demonstrating the spirit of not leaving anyone behind, the PCCT assigned annual targets for 100% of grassroots trade unions and direct superior trade unions in the People's Public Security to effectively implement the program "Happy Tet with the families of union members in the People's Public Security".
Every year, each grassroots trade union supports at least 1 model of "Celebrating Tet with the families of union members in the People's Public Security" for the families of union members in its unit; each union at the direct superior level supports at least 2 models of "Celebrating Tet with the families of union members in the People's Public Security" for the families of union members in its unit; the People's Public Security Trade Union supports at least 10 models of "Celebrating Tet with the families of union members in the People's Public Security" for the families of union members in the People's Public Security.
According to the CDCAND, the program "Celebrating Tet with the families of union members in the People's Public Security" is organized annually in the form of support at the homes of union members on the occasion of the Lunar New Year. The specific contents include: Support for repairing, cleaning, and decorating the house for Tet (eg support for painting, repairing the house; cleaning; support for decorative plants and flowers for Tet...); support for giving Tet necessities (fruit trays, candy, rice, fish sauce, cooking oil, banh chung, ham, chicken...); support for giving household items to help union members' families improve their living conditions (washing machines, gas stoves, rice cookers, televisions, bicycles, study tables and chairs, computers, bedding, mattresses, new clothes...).
Regarding funding sources, the police union of the unit and locality mobilizes funding from socialized resources (collective or individual), contributions from cadres and union members, and is partially funded from union dues, with a spending level not exceeding VND 1,000,000/family. The People's Public Security Union spends from socialized resources (collective or individual), contributions from cadres and union members in social security activities, and partially funded from the annual budget of the People's Public Security Union.
Regarding the level of support, the unit and local police union supports at least 4 million VND/family; the People's Public Security Union supports at least 6 million VND/family.
Implementation time is within 1 month before Lunar New Year every year.
