Towards people affected by storms and floods
Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. has a total of 11,000 employees, of which there are 2 factories in Ho Chi Minh City with about 7,000 employees. In 2025, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union issued a letter calling for support for people affected by storms and floods.
Promoting the tradition of mutual love of the Vietnamese people, every time the people encounter difficulties and disasters, the whole nation is in pain, joining hands to help ease the pain... All contributions and support from all union members and workers are the sharing of the people in the disaster. According to Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung, currently union members and workers are still donating. The units are synthesizing and transferring to the grassroots trade union. When compiled, the entire content will be sent to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to be delivered to people affected by floods.
Mr. Nguyen Nhat Minh - a worker at Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. - shared: "My hometown is Thanh Hoa province, I have been very worried about the recent storms and floods. Fortunately, my family area was slightly affected. However, the surrounding area has many families with unroofed roofs, mostly agricultural, so life is very difficult. When the grassroots union launched a fundraising campaign, I also took out a part of my savings to join hands to support people in need. Hopefully, there will be a small part added to help people soon restore normal life".
Trade Union mobilizes companies to spend money to support people affected by floods
In Tan Hiep ward, Ho Chi Minh City, the Trade Union of Cua It - Aoa Technology Company Limited has compiled the damage situation of the provinces caused by storm No. 10 and floods in recent days. The storm caused death, causing many families to lose their homes. Tens of thousands of households are in need of resources to rebuild their lives. The Trade Union recommended that the company share support for people affected by floods and storms following the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and was approved by the company's leaders to spend nearly 1 billion VND. This amount was given to the grassroots trade union to give support to the people.
Ms. Le Thi Huong - Chairwoman of the company's Trade Union - said that the unit had transferred 300 million VND to the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. The remaining amount, the company's union officials have returned to Thanh Hoa province to coordinate with localities to provide support to people in difficulty.
The delegation returned to Mau Lam commune, Thanh Hoa province to give 150 gifts to households in the commune (each worth 1 million VND). Of which, there are 111 poor households, 19 households in special difficulty due to illness and 20 households isolated due to flooding in Tron village, Phu Son village. The delegation also directly visited 4 households in especially difficult circumstances in Mau Lam commune, supporting each household with 3 - 5 million VND.
The group then returned to Bat Mot commune, Thanh Hoa province. The locality, which was already struggling, was also heavily affected by the flood situation this year. Here, the delegation presented support to 33 households, each household 600,000 VND, the total support amount was 19.8 million VND.
In Nong Cong commune, a locality that suffered heavy damage due to the recent storm No. 10, the delegation presented support to 400 households, each household was supported with 1 million VND. In addition, 100 households in Tuong Linh commune were given 1 million VND each.
