With support forms using electronic shopping vouchers (e-vouchers) worth 500,000 VND/person, the program practically contributes to taking care of the lives of union members during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
The new point of this year's Trade Union Tet Market is that the VGCL encourages union members to actively buy goods online according to each system opening time, depending on locality and industry, contributing to reducing simultaneous access pressure and creating convenience for workers.
In Can Tho City, the program supports a total of 5,200 people, including 5,000 union members and 200 trade union officials. Eligible union members can purchase essential consumer goods and products on the official website https://chotet.congdoan.vn or through the "Trade Union Tet Market" application installed on smartphones.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Chairman of the Trade Union of My Tu Regional Health Center (Can Tho City), this year the unit was allocated 31 purchases. “So far, basically the union members have almost finished buying. The union members are very excited because they have more conditions to prepare for Tet,” Mr. Tuan shared.
As one of the first union members to enjoy the program, Tran Khanh Ly - a union member of the grassroots Trade Union of HS Vietnam Chemical Co., Ltd. - Soc Trang Branch, could not hide her joy when using e-vouchers to shop. “I used a 500,000 VND voucher to buy a set of pots and a pan,” Ly said.
Khanh Ly currently works in the Planning department, with an income of about 5 million VND/month. Ly's family is still in difficult circumstances, her mother works as a hired worker, her father works as a firewood worker dozens of kilometers away from home, and her income is also unstable. "This is the first time I have received Tet gifts. I find this program very meaningful, helping me reduce spending when Tet comes. The program also brings a feeling of being cared for and shared by the Trade Union, especially for young union members who are new to work and have limited economic conditions," Ly confided.
Khanh Ly said that online shopping is quite convenient, simple operation, diverse goods and clear origin. “I just need to go to the application, choose products and then pay, there is no need to travel much, very suitable for us workers,” Ly added.
Mr. Huynh Thanh Hoai - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of HS Vietnam Chemical Co., Ltd. - Soc Trang branch said that the unit has 41 union members supported to buy goods at this year's online Trade Union Tet Market. Up to now, 24 union members have completed the procurement, the rest mainly work in night shifts, so the grassroots trade union is continuing to arrange time to guide union members to implement in the coming days.
According to Mr. Hoai, the Trade Union Tet Market is a very meaningful activity, especially for union members and workers with low incomes.
Through online shopping, union members are proactive in choosing essential items to serve family activities during Tet. This is not only material support, but also shows the Trade Union's concern and companionship with workers, helping brothers feel secure in working and long-term attachment to the business," Mr. Hoai emphasized.
