On December 24, Mr. Pham Viet Cong - Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dong Thap province - said that the results of reports from 62 enterprises in the area showed that the number of enterprises planning to give bonuses for the New Year this year is not much.
According to Mr. Cong, there are two basic reasons: Because the production and business situation of many enterprises is facing difficulties and some enterprises want to focus on bonuses on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.
On the other hand, the Lunar New Year bonus is not high. The private enterprise sector leads in terms of high bonus amount with the highest bonus being 46.8 million VND, the lowest being 200 thousand VND, the average being 2.7 million VND.
Next is the foreign-invested enterprise sector with the highest bonus of 19.8 million VND, the lowest is 100 thousand VND, the average is 4.7 million VND. The state-owned enterprise sector has a more modest New Year bonus.
In LLCs with 100% state capital (including central enterprises located in localities), the highest bonus is 12 million VND, the lowest is 500 thousand VND, and the average is 4.8 million VND. In companies with controlling shares and capital contributions from the state, the highest bonus is 3 million VND, the lowest is 1.2 million VND, and the average is 2.1 million VND.
