Many practical and effective ways
Ms. Ngo Thi Thuy Trang - Vice President of Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor - shared: On average, each year, 86% of 81,900 industrial park workers in areas where trade unions have been established are informed about trade union laws, trade unions and other legal contents related to legitimate and legal rights and interests as well as being given opportunities to participate in cultural and sports activities (VH-TT), studying to improve their educational qualifications and skills...
Thus, over the past 10 years, trade unions at all levels have organized 4,950 propaganda sessions, disseminating related legal policies and guidelines, attracting over 285,000 union members and workers to participate. The transmission of these contents is quite diverse: Through union activities, conferences, seminars, contests, VH-TT activities and social networking platforms, such as: Zalo, Facebook, information portals, as well as newspapers and radio stations through the implementation of more than 840 specialized pages and columns. Through coordination with the industry, 2,200 VH-TT activities, health communication, and mobile legal consulting have been organized, attracting over 380,000 employees to participate.
This reality has had a positive impact on more than 300 non-state enterprises to support and create conditions for the Trade Union to regularly organize activities to care for the spiritual life of workers in the form of: Cultural - sports clubs, workers' dormitories, "Traditional room - Trade Union bookcase - legal consultation corner" ... thereby contributing to improving the spiritual life of workers.
Many ways to be creative
The Standing Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor said that the above achievements are the result of the flexible application of Directive No. 52-CT/TW dated January 9, 2016 of the Central Party Secretariat on "Strengthening the Party's leadership in improving the cultural and spiritual life of workers in industrial parks and export processing zones", the direction and guidance of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the programs and plans of the Provincial Party Committee in actual conditions, in accordance with the characteristics of each locality and enterprise.
Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor directs and suggests that trade unions at all levels regularly proactively innovate the content and methods of operation in a flexible, creative, practical and effective manner. This has created many practical and highly effective living models such as: "Union Cultural Corner", "VH-TT Club", "Workers' Family Day", vocational competitions, law-learning competitions, karaoke competitions, the program "Union Tet Market", "Unclean - Clean - Beautiful Enterprise", "Helloing Culture - Solidarity - Cooperation", "Safe - Civilized Workplace" ...
At the same time, the Provincial Federation of Labor also implemented the Project to build grassroots cultural institutions for the period 2022 - 2026. To date, more than 500 institutions have been renovated and put into use such as football fields, badminton, volleyball, etc. In particular, the Trade Union Institution and Social Housing Project in My Tho Industrial Park and Trung An Industrial Cluster implemented by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will contribute to further improving the living and living conditions for workers.
Continuously innovate to improve the cultural and spiritual life, creating motivation for workers to work with peace of mind, stay long-term, contributing to building Dong Thap province to develop sustainably, but also contributing to affirming the position and importance of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new context.
