On June 13, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Federation of Labor said that it had supervised the implementation of legal regulations on collective bargaining and the signing of collective labor agreements and occupational safety and hygiene (OSH) at 2 enterprises including Interfluor Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Posco Yamato Vina Steel Joint Stock Company.
This is an activity within the monitoring plan of the Provincial Federation of Labor to be implemented in 2025. Both of these enterprises have headquarters in industrial parks in the province.
Posco Yamato Vina Steel Joint Stock Company currently has 729 employees and 100% have signed labor contracts (of which 473 are non-term contracts, 233 are fixed-term contracts and 23 are on probation). The provisions of the law on negotiating and signing collective labor agreements have been well implemented and published for employees to grasp.
At Interfluor Vietnam Co., Ltd., there are currently 323 employees and 100% have signed labor contracts (of which 253 are non-term contracts, 68 are fixed-term contracts, 2 are seasonal workers). The provisions of the law on negotiating and signing collective labor agreements have been well implemented by enterprises.
According to the Provincial Federation of Labor, through the process of monitoring and working with enterprises, it shows that occupational safety and health work at enterprises has received attention; well implemented the provisions of labor law and labor safety and hygiene law.
However, there are still some shortcomings that businesses need to overcome to better implement in the coming time such as: the health examination form of employees needs to be fully recorded; collective bargaining needs to be conducted to ensure compliance with the correct procedures...
At the same time, continue to research to develop details, issue full instructions and instruct employees to implement internal regulations and procedures to ensure occupational safety and health in accordance with National Technical Regulations and the Law on Occupational Safety and Hygiene.
