According to a report from the Tra Vinh Provincial Federation of Labor, the whole province has 542 grassroots unions registered to implement 548 works and tasks on occupational safety and hygiene (OSH). Activities focus on improving techniques, cleaning the working environment, planting trees and launching a movement to self-assess and identify risks at the workplace.
At the same time, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized a launching ceremony for Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health, coordinating the hanging of 352 billboards and banners to propagate and mobilize businesses to periodically check the health of more than 25,000 workers.
At My Phong Leather Shoes Company Limited, the grassroots union organized an online competition to learn about occupational safety and health laws with 300 participants and an excellent occupational safety and hygiene competition with 6 teams.
The work of ensuring shift meals is focused on, currently there are 111/133 units organizing shift meals, of which 86 units meet the standards according to Conclusion 03 of the General Confederation.
Humanitarian Blood Donation Festival attracted more than 350 union members, collecting 230 units of blood. In addition, the Provincial Federation of Labor has allocated 20 million VND to visit and support 10 union members who have had work accidents and are in difficult circumstances.
