Workers under the Spacious Shelter
The family of Mr. Dang Hoang Thanh Minh - union member of Cam Le Electricity Department - is in difficult circumstances. He is the main breadwinner, his wife has unstable income and is raising 3 young children. Previously, the family lived in a house that was frequently flooded, greatly affecting daily life.
Understanding the circumstances of the union member's family, the Trade Union of Da Nang Power Company proposed to the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union to support the Trade Union Shelter for Mr. Minh's family.
Receiving information from the grassroots level, in April 2026, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union decided to support Mr. Minh's family with 60 million VND from the Mutual Assistance Fund of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN).
In addition, the Trade Union of Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) also supported Mr. Minh's family with 15 million VND to equip furniture, helping him and his members stabilize their lives after having the Trade Union Shelter.
Thanks to the support from the "Trade Union Shelter" program of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union at all levels, along with the efforts to accumulate, in April 2026, the family's new house was completed.
Currently, my family lives in a Shelter with a more spacious and stable living space. From the stable foundation of accommodation, I will continue to strive and contribute more effectively to the common work of the unit" - Mr. Dang Hoang Thanh Minh shared.
In the same unit as Mr. Thanh Minh, in April 2026, Mr. Nguyen Le Cong Dung - was also supported by the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union with 60 million VND and the EVNCPC Trade Union additionally supported with 15 million VND.
The Trade Union Shelter is not only a place to shelter from rain and sun, but also a source of encouragement, adding faith for the family to strive to rise up in life" - Mr. Dung said emotionally.
Mr. Tran Dinh Lanh - Chairman of the Trade Union of Da Nang Power Company assessed that the "Trade Union Home" program not only helps workers overcome immediate difficulties but is also a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping union members feel secure in their work and be attached to the unit for a long time.
Towards the grassroots and the right target
On July 8, in an exchange with reporters, Mr. Do Duc Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union - said that trade union levels have organized subsidies and visits to 76,285 union members and workers with a total amount of 67.892 billion VND.
Mr. Do Duc Hung said that the care contents include visiting CNVCLĐ on duty, working during Tet, remote areas, border areas, islands; visiting policy families, workers who have accidents, loss of working capacity, people in difficult circumstances; giving gifts to retired workers; supporting train and bus tickets; organizing the Trade Union Year-End Meal...
In particular, the "Trade Union Shelter" Program continued to be effective, in the first 6 months of the year, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union supported 20 houses for union members, including building 12 new houses and repairing 8 houses with a total budget of 960 million VND.
In Workers' Month 2026, the "Thank you to Workers" program and care activities are prominent highlights.
The entire system has 423 units, grassroots trade unions, departmental trade unions, trade union groups or affiliated focal points organizing care activities, with 42,374 turns of union members and workers benefiting; total care expenses reached 39.242 billion VND.
