32 outstanding union members among workers of Ho Chi Minh City were admitted to the Party at the Hang Duong Cemetery historical relic, Con Dao on February 3rd by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation in coordination with the Con Dao Special Zone Party Committee and the Party committees of some business branches.
On behalf of Party members admitted to the Party, Mr. Kim Vinh Cuong, a worker at PouYuen Vietnam Co., Ltd., said: After 28 years of attachment, with the care and trust of the company's leaders, being led and trained through the activities of the trade union organization, he gradually matured and went through many departments from a worker's position to a manager and is now in charge of occupational safety and health of the company.
Being admitted to the Party in the legendary sacred land of Con Dao is a great honor for me personally and a recognition from the leadership, the Party organization, the trade union organization at the company and the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation for me," Mr. Cuong said emotionally.
Mr. Cuong also promised absolute loyalty to the revolutionary ideals of the Party and Uncle Ho, and continue to promote the pioneering and exemplary role in labor production, worthy of being a bridge between the Party and the working masses.
At the same time, actively participate in building trade union organizations and businesses to become increasingly strong, contributing to the common development of the city named after Uncle Ho and always living worthy of the sacrifices of previous generations, with the trust of company leaders, the expectations of trade union organizations and leaders of Ho Chi Minh City.
On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation presented 1,000 gifts worth 1 billion VND to the Party Committee, government and people in difficult circumstances in the Con Dao Special Zone.
Representatives of 6 centrally-run city trade unions presented symbolic boards for the construction of the "Great Unity Tree Garden" project in Con Dao Special Zone with the amount of 2.5 billion VND (phase 2).
Previously, on the same morning, a delegation of trade union officials, workers, and outstanding laborers of Ho Chi Minh City led by Mr. Vo Khac Thai - Standing Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate heroic martyrs, revolutionary soldiers and patriotic compatriots who sacrificed in the Con Dao special zone.
