After 6 years of struggling to make a living in the southern provinces, what Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan (32 years old, Huu Lung commune, Lang Son province) hopes for most is to return to be close to home, reunite with his wife and children and take care of his elderly parents.
Every day away from home, he follows every movement in his hometown, hoping that each industrial park and cluster that has been started will open up job opportunities, helping local people reduce the situation of homelessness.
"If I have a factory and a job, I don't have to be away from home. My wife and children also have less hardship, Mr. Tuan shared.
According to him, currently in the province, the number of industrial parks in operation is not much. Many workers still have to find jobs in Bac Ninh, Bac Giang or choose the "Southward" route.

Our biggest wish is that the projects are not shelved unfinished, so that young people have the opportunity to develop right in their homeland, he expressed.
Similarly, Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung (52 years old, old Ho Son commune, now Huu Lung commune) said: "My child learned a trade but did not have a place to work near home, so he planned to leave the country to work seasonally. Hearing about a new factory, everyone was happy. I just hope the project is done properly, don't leave it too long and then leave it abandoned".
Recently, the People's Committee of Tan Thanh Commune (old Huu Lung District) coordinated with Hoa Son I Industrial Cluster Company Limited to organize a groundbreaking ceremony for the Hoa Son I Industrial Cluster project. The project has a scale of nearly 75 hectares, with a total investment of nearly 725 billion VND, invested by a joint venture of Tan Dai Nam Construction Investment Company Limited and Industrial Construction and Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company.

This is one of three key industrial projects being implemented in the old Huu Lung district, along with VSIP Lang Son Industrial Park and Ho Son I Industrial Cluster.
When completed, these projects will play an important role in shifting the economic structure, creating jobs and promoting the development of the southern part of the province.
Currently, the whole Lang Son province has established 10 industrial clusters with a total area of about 450 hectares and 2 large industrial parks, Huu Lung and Dong Bang. However, many projects are still in the infrastructure completion stage or waiting to attract secondary investors.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Lang Son, some industrial clusters are behind schedule due to problems with site clearance, investment procedures and business calling. To overcome this, the province has directed departments, branches and localities to actively coordinate, creating favorable conditions for investors to implement on schedule, while ensuring quality and compliance with technical regulations.
Aiming to become a modern industrial province by 2030, Lang Son is gradually transforming from a purely agricultural border province to a multi-industry economy, in which industry is the main growth driver.

According to the investor's representative, Hoa Son I Industrial Cluster is not only a production area, but will become a " core" for industrial development in the South of Lang Son province, with a green - clean - modern model, attracting both domestic enterprises and international investors in the fields of processing industry, supporting industry and logistics.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Doan Thanh Son said that industrial development is one of the strategic breakthroughs, clearly identified in the Provincial Party Congresses. The goal by 2030 is to basically become a province with modern industrial development.
In the context of the province's economy still dependent on agriculture and import-export activities at border gates, promoting industrial development is considered an inevitable step to diversify the economic structure and retain labor in the locality.
