Attending the Congress, Mr. Nam deeply realized the responsibility of a representative of the voice, thoughts, and aspirations of union members and workers in the industry. According to him, each opinion presented, each content discussed at the congress, needs to originate from the reality of life, work and issues that workers are concerned about.
Mr. Nam expects the congress to propose practical action programs for the 2026 - 2031 term, especially solutions to care for the lives and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers. At the same time, the congress will have new orientations on salary policies and regimes for workers in the current context.
For the field of maritime safety assurance in Vietnam, workers work on remote islands. Therefore, I hope the congress will spend more time discussing regimes and policies, especially special regimes for workers in harsh and toxic environments, sea and island areas, especially Truong Sa and DK rig areas" - Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam Maritime Safety Corporation shared.
Mr. Nam expressed his wish that in the new term, in addition to continuing to maintain and improve the effectiveness of the programs being implemented, the Trade Union organization will study and build more new activities, suitable to practical needs to better care for union members and workers.
According to him, care programs need to continue to be innovated in a practical and grassroots-oriented direction, focusing on solving practical issues that workers are concerned about. Not only stopping at support activities during holidays and Tet, the Trade Union organization needs to expand long-term welfare programs, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of union members.
