Nearly 30 union officials specializing in legal policies of the Labor Federations of Southern provinces and cities attended a training course on litigation skills, civil litigation, and labor case settlement at the Court for union officials organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on June 23, in Ho Chi Minh City.
In her opening speech, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Ha - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Department of Legal Policy - Labor Relations, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - emphasized that representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers is a basic function of the trade union organization and this requirement is increasing.
When implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus, merging a number of provinces, cities, and trade union organizations, there will be major changes in structure and organization. Meanwhile, the number of union members and workers may increase. Therefore, the responsibility of the trade union organization and each trade union cadre is increasingly greater and more.
Training on skills in litigation, civil litigation, and labor case settlement in court for union officials to improve the qualifications, knowledge, and skills of union officials to meet the needs and tasks in the coming period.
During the 5 days (from June 23 to 27), union officials listened to Mr. Vu Ngoc Ha - Director of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor's Legal Consulting Center - train on skills to receive workers and listen effectively; Analyze requirements and determine handling directions; Legal basis for protecting workers; Draft lawsuits and build lawsuit documents; Develop a plan to protect workers.
