Increase recruitment to meet the needs of expanding production
In Ben Cat ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Giang Viet Joint Stock Company is in need of recruiting a lot of workers to meet the needs of expanding production. Talking to reporters, representatives of the above enterprise said that the company has built a new factory that will operate from the beginning of 2026 with 10 production lines. This factory needs about more than 600 workers, but only 166 workers. The total recruitment demand for 2 factories of the company is 780 workers. Besides general labor, the need for trained human resources for positions: Maintenance, production operation, personnel administration... is very urgent.
Company representatives said that the company has implemented many measures to attract workers, such as: Ensuring stable income from 8-20 million VND/month, fully participating in social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance... according to regulations. When signing official labor contracts, workers are allowed to join grassroots trade unions and enjoy many union welfare activities. In addition, the company also has free dormitories to help workers quickly catch up with work and life. However, currently very few workers are looking for jobs, making it difficult for the company to recruit enough workers.
According to reporters' records, in Ben Cat and Bau Bang wards, there are still many businesses in need of recruitment, however, the number of workers coming to find jobs is very small.
Recruitment demand 1.64 times higher than job search demand
For many months, Viet Hung Joint Stock Company (specializing in export garment processing, located in Trung My Tay ward, Ho Chi Minh City) has had to leave a production line vacant due to unemployment. Mr. Huynh Van Choi - CEO of Viet Hung Joint Stock Company - said that the company currently has more than 530 employees. For many months, the company has still had a need to recruit more than 200 employees with a salary of more than 9 million VND/person/month and an income of more than 11 million VND/person/month to meet the remaining vacant garment line, but has not been able to recruit.
For the garment industry in Ho Chi Minh City, the income level of more than 11 million VND/person/month plus bonuses for holidays and Tet is not low, but I don't understand why there are still no recruited workers" - Mr. Choi said.
Mr. Le Van Lam - Business Director of Phuong Dong Garment Joint Stock Company (headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City) - said that the company is also in need of recruiting about 600 workers, the most of whom are garment workers, followed by KCS employees, garment production team leaders... with an average income of 6 to 11 million VND/person/month to work at the company's new factories in Dong Thap province (in Chau Thanh, Cai Lay, Cho Gao districts of the old Tien Giang province). However, recruitment also faces many difficulties and has not met the requirements.
