After 2 days of serious, democratic and responsible work, the 18th Cao Bang Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, has completed the entire program and achieved great success.
The Congress took place in an exciting atmosphere of cadres, union members, workers, civil servants and laborers in the whole province towards the important political event of the Trade Union organization.
Attending and directing the Congress were Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Vu Hong Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Bang province, and representatives of the professional departments of the General Confederation, departments, branches and organizations of the province. The Congress has 150 official delegates, representing more than 4,000 union members in the whole province.
With the motto of action "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the delegates focused on discussing and comprehensively evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Trade Union Congress in the previous term; frankly pointing out the limitations, shortcomings and drawing lessons in leadership, direction and organization of union implementation.
The Congress agreed to approve the main orientation, goals, tasks and solutions of the workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities of Cao Bang province for the 2025 - 2030 term.
The focus is on continuing to innovate the content and methods of operation; improving the effectiveness of representation, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations; consolidating a strong trade union organization to meet the requirements in the new situation.
The Congress also approved many important indicators such as improving the quality of the union staff; promoting the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations; increasing the rate of grassroots unions completing tasks well; enhancing dialogue and collective bargaining; caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers; improving the effectiveness of inspection, supervision and management of union finances.
At the congress, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh affirmed that in the context of " socio-economic conditions still facing many difficulties, heavily affected by natural disasters and climate change", the Party Committee, government, people and working class of Cao Bang province have "promoted the tradition of solidarity, determination to overcome difficulties, perseverance in innovation", achieved positive results in socio-economic development and improved the lives of workers.
On behalf of the leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Mr. Phan Van Anh warmly commended and acknowledged the results that the Cao Bang Provincial Trade Union has achieved in the past term, especially in the work of "caring for, representing, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers", innovating activities and effectively implementing Resolution 02 of the Politburo.
Entering the 2025 - 2030 term, the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requested the Provincial Trade Union to "continue to innovate more strongly in terms of organization, content and methods of operation", "taking union members and workers as the center", focusing on welfare care, improving the quality of human resources, promoting patriotic emulation movements, building a strong trade union organization, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's development goals and the Resolution of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new period.
With the spirit of democracy, objectivity, and in accordance with the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Congress elected the Executive Committee of the 18th Cao Bang Provincial Labor Federation, term 2025 - 2030, consisting of 13 comrades; elected a delegation to attend the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, including 6 official delegates and 2 absent delegates.
At the first conference of the Executive Committee of the 18th tenure, Mr. Be Dang Khoa was elected as Chairman and Ms. Hoang Thi Lam was elected as Vice President of the Cao Bang Provincial Labor Federation for the 2025 - 2030 term.
The Congress called on all cadres, union members, workers, civil servants and laborers in the province to continue promoting the revolutionary tradition of their hometown Cao Bang, unite, innovate, be creative, strive to overcome difficulties, determined to successfully implement the Congress Resolution, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
