On November 1, the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) announced that the Trade Union of Gio Linh Garment and Trading Joint Stock Company held a meeting of the Executive Committee to expand the 2025-2030 term, with the participation and direction of representatives of the Provincial Federation of Labor and the company's leaders.
During the 2023-2028 term, the grassroots trade union has performed well the task of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of more than 500 union members and workers; effectively maintaining emulation movements, notably the "Gio Linh market" model, online markets to bring clean agricultural products to workers.
100% of workers participate in health insurance, social insurance, and unemployment insurance. Average income reaches 7.5 million VND/month, along with many policies to support shift meals, diligence, raising young children, accommodation and travel. Humanitarian and charitable work has received attention with a total budget of nearly 1 billion VND.
The conference elected the Executive Committee of the Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 7 members, and the Inspection Committee, consisting of 3 members. Mr. Tran Van Anh continues to be trusted to hold the position of Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union. The conference also elected a delegation to attend the 1st Quang Tri Provincial Trade Union Congress.
