On the afternoon of February 14, the Dien Bien Provincial Federation of Labor organized a meeting with reporters and collaborators on the occasion of the beginning of the Lunar New Year 2025.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tan Minh Long - Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial Federation of Labor - said: "Over the past year, trade unions at all levels in the province have continued to receive the attention and support of information agencies and the press, always standing side by side with the trade union organization, promptly reflecting bright spots in trade union activities".
In 2024, the Provincial Federation of Labor closely coordinated with central and local press agencies to promptly and effectively promote outstanding activities of the Provincial Trade Union, contributing to raising awareness and encouraging the spirit of union members and workers.
During the 2025 Lunar New Year, more than 31,000 union members and workers received Tet gifts with a total amount of over 14.4 billion VND. Of which, the Provincial Federation of Labor presented 8,365 gifts worth more than 4 billion VND. At the same time, organize many other practical activities such as: "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Chia Chia", "Union Tet Market 2025"...
On this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 groups and 9 individuals. In particular, reporter Van Thanh Chuong - from the Lao Dong Newspaper Representative Office in the Northwest - was awarded a Certificate of Merit for his outstanding achievements in propaganda work for the workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities in 2024.
Currently, the Provincial Federation of Labor has been actively implementing the arrangement of the organization and apparatus of union officials.
Accordingly, it is expected to dissolve 3 Trade Unions at the grassroots level (Education, Health, Civil Servants) to establish 2 Trade Unions at the grassroots level (Party; Government). Merge the Finance Department with the Office; the Propaganda - Women's Department with the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations.
