Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Van Sao - former member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, former Rector of the Trade Union University: The 14th Party Congress determined the goal of bringing the country into a new era of development with the requirement of rapid and sustainable development on the basis of science - technology and innovation. Reality shows that the Vietnamese working class (VGCL) is the leading class in our country's revolutionary cause, through the pioneering team of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Currently, the VGCL is present in all economic sectors and industries, operating and using key production tools and playing a decisive role in the rate of economic development. Although it still accounts for a low proportion of the population and social labor force, every year, the VGCL has created a large proportion of the total social product value, mainly contributing to the State budget. In the context of globalization and deep international integration, when science - technology develops rapidly, the world and domestic situation are changing complicatedly, then maintaining and strengthening the nature of the VGCL
From the reality and requirements of the new period, to build a modern and strong Vietnamese GCCN, the VGCL has proposed 5 main contents to the Party Central Committee and the 14th Party Congress. One of them is to soon issue a strategy to build a GCCN associated with the socio-economic development strategy, concretizing the direction of building a modern and strong Vietnamese GCCN, associated with the development of science and technology, innovation. Focus on improving education, expertise, professional skills, industrial style and labor discipline so that the Vietnamese GCCN adapts, develops quickly, masters new and modern knowledge and technology, promotes initiatives, innovation and international integration in the new era of development. Innovate and further strengthen the leadership of the Party, the coordination and support of the State and the political system to promote the role of the Vietnam Trade Union in building a modern and strong GCCN, building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations. Complete the mechanism of the Party Central Committee and the Party Congress.
The 14th Party Congress was a great success, once again affirming the leadership role of the Communist Party towards the Vietnamese working class, and at the same time affirming the absolute trust of the Vietnamese working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization in the Party. With this victory, the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization vowed to unite, promote the glorious tradition, revolutionary pioneering spirit, and steadily move forward under the glorious flag of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
I believe that the Trade Union organization will be determined to make continuous, proactive, and creative efforts to bring the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress into life soon.
Ms. Phan Thi Hue - Vice President of the Vietnam Agriculture and Environment Trade Union: As a Party member, a full-time Trade Union official, I am very pleased with the success of the Party Congress because this is a particularly important political event, a milestone opening a new stage of development for the country. The Party Congress takes place in the context of the country and the world entering the strong development phase of the 4th revolution, especially the explosion of artificial intelligence, science and technology and digital transformation. These modern changes have been and will have a profound impact on all aspects of socio-economic life, changing production methods, job structure, occupational skill requirements, posing great opportunities along with no small challenges for union members and workers. Science and technology, automation and artificial intelligence are gradually replacing many simple, repetitive jobs, while the demand for highly skilled workers, capable of adapting and mastering modern machinery and technology is increasing.
In my position as Vice President of the Trade Union of Vietnam's Agriculture and Environment sector, I hope that the Party and the State will continue to pay more attention to salary policies, social housing, health, and education for union members and workers. Because the current reality shows that the lives of union members and workers in general, and union members and workers in the Agriculture and Environment sector, are still facing many difficulties, income is still limited, and production activities in the sector are still heavily dependent on nature and weather. The Party's concern is a great motivation for union members and workers to enthusiastically dedicate themselves to labor production, contributing to the development of the country.
Dr. Tong Van Hai - Chairman of the Trade Union of the Faculty of Biotechnology, Vietnam National University of Agriculture: Member of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the Vietnam National University of Agriculture: The 14th Congress of the Party clearly demonstrated the determination to strongly innovate development thinking, with a fundamental shift from the "management" model to the "creative development" model. The Congress also established a new growth model based on science, technology and innovation. Major orientations such as developing new production forces, perfecting new production relations, promoting the digital economy, green economy, circular economy, especially data economy, show the Party's strategic and long-term vision in the new context.
Although science and technology have been affirmed as the top national policy from the XI, XII and XIII Congresses, at the XIV Congress, the role of science and technology has been elevated to a new level, becoming the main driving force, decisive for the country's development. As a scientific researcher, I believe that the new thinking and development policy based on science and technology will create strong momentum, opening up opportunities for Vietnam to break through in the coming period.
From the perspective of a trade union official, I fully believe in the important policies set out by the 14th Party Congress. As the largest representative organization, the center for gathering and uniting the working class and workers nationwide, the Vietnam Trade Union has been and is implementing many practical solutions, coordinating with the entire political system to build the working class of Vietnam to become increasingly modern and strong, truly becoming a pioneering force in the cause of rapid and sustainable development of the country.
The success of the 14th Congress once again affirms the comprehensive leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam towards the Vietnamese working class. I believe that the resolutions of the Congress will soon come into life, contributing to building an increasingly strong working class, thereby making important contributions to the cause of building and developing the country in the new era, the era of national striving.
