open-ended robot
Robots can speak, record, and convey images of the water environment, especially the device that can be moved by remote control..., MSc. Tran Thanh Toan, lecturer of the Faculty of Mechanical - Construction, Dong Thap Community College (DTCC), representative of the IoT Robot model research group (Tran Van Luc, Nguyen Thi Cam Tu) shared - which surprised me with the huge features of the rectangular device with a size similar to a children's toy car.
All of these operations are controlled with just a light touch to the mobile phone screen via a Wifi connection. But, that was just the tip. With the function of monitoring the environment alone, the Robot is capable of recording temperature, humidity, light, gas sensors and then loading data onto the cloud IoT ( Internet of Things) platform for analysis.
In particular, the Robot also has an unlockable feature. Just adjust a few parts to form a new device. "If we replace this chain system with a fan system, we will have unmanned equipment. If you replace it with duck feet and add a waterproof system, there will be a photography device in the water environment..., MSc. Toan added.
However, what makes DTCC School more proud is that Robot is also a vivid, intuitive teaching support device for students to sow the seeds of passion to reach the ocean.
With the same design as tactical Robot cars, combined with the exposed arrangement of components, controls, wires and sensors... it helps students easily understand the lesson and motivates them to nurture their passion to enter the digital transformation journey of the locality and the whole country.
Possessing many outstanding features, this Robot product is surprisingly cheap when the total amount of materials used to make it is only over 16 million VND. Therefore, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor chose the province's representative to attend the 2025 Creative Labor Festival organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on August 15, 2025 in Hanoi.

The research idea for this product began when participating in an aquaculture environment project of a foreign organization, MSc. Toan recalled. In the project, Toan was invested with funds to design environmental surveillance cameras. Highly appreciated, after the project ended, Toan wanted to upgrade the product to Robot and be a vivid visual teaching tool.
However, this product, in addition to requiring skills in writing data synchronization programs, requires funding to invest in mechanical - electrical - control - immersive programming platforms to meet integrated products. This demand was immediately met in a timely manner, so the product was quickly launched.
We have identified not only vocational training but also training people to be ready to integrate, master technology and adapt to the changing labor market every day, said MSc. Tran Van Luc - Deputy Principal of DTCC - opening the discussion.
From this motto, schools, trade unions... have proactively built an emulation movement for teaching - learning, research among teachers and students with many motivational support mechanisms.
Mr. Tran Trong Nguyen - Chairman of the Trade Union of DTCC School - shared: "The Party Committee, the Board of Directors and the Trade Union will develop regulations to support the encouragement of teachers and students to increase scientific research creativity". In which, the Trade Union proactively advises on the development of plans to support the purchase of equipment, rewards... Thereby helping researchers feel secure in working with the highest spirit.
With this driving method, DTCC not only paves the way for the birth of IoT Robots, but also creates a widespread creative labor movement. At the 18th Dong Thap Province Technical Innovation Competition alone (2024 - 2025) DTCC won 12/36 awards.
