Concretizing the determination to implement digital transformation for workers
The Vietnam Bank Union and upper-level grassroots trade unions, grassroots trade unions organize many activities clearly showing that they are the center of solidarity, gathering the strength of the entire industry in organizing the implementation of political tasks. These activities have well implemented the motto: "All activities of the Trade Union organization are aimed at the goal of excellently completing the political tasks of agencies and units throughout the Banking industry".
A typical example is that the Vietnam Bank Union has just successfully organized the "Banking Industry Digital Transformation" Contest in 2026 - a contest organized in the context that the entire industry is actively implementing key tasks on science, technology development, innovation and digital transformation in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
The participation of more than 600 contestants from 32 units has demonstrated the attractiveness as well as the spread of a highly professional activity organized by the Trade Union. The contest is a playground, a forum for teams from units in the industry to concretize the orientations for digital transformation in the banking industry, contributing to raising awareness, arousing aspirations and spreading the spirit and determination to innovate and create of all officials, civil servants, public employees, and employees of the banking industry. At the same time, improving the ability to proactively adapt to technology trends, promoting digital transformation to go deeper and more substantive.
Organize emulation movements to create motivation for workers
Reality shows that emulation work is always identified by the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Bank Union as one of the main motivations for union members and employees to strive to excellently complete their tasks. Emulation movements are comprehensively implemented, closely following the specific activities of the industry, strongly oriented towards grassroots levels, associated with key programs and projects of the State Bank and credit institutions.
Every year, based on the tasks of the Banking sector and the emulation launch program of the Governor of the State Bank, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Banking Union has launched an emulation movement to all levels of trade unions throughout the system; organized conferences to sign emulation agreements between upper-level grassroots trade unions, emulation agreements between emulation clusters and blocs in the system. At the same time, trade union levels have effectively implemented patriotic emulation movements to workers, civil servants and laborers in the system such as: "Innovation, creativity, efficiency in the operation of the Trade Union organization", "Everything for union members and workers", "Good labor, Creative labor", "Women are good at banking, good at housework", "Good advice, good service", "High productivity, good quality", "Promoting professional ethics values, complying with the law", "Promoting order, discipline and office culture", "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", and at the same time link emulation contents with "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style".
Major movements were launched simultaneously throughout the system such as: "Good Labor - Creative Labor"; "Promoting initiatives and technical improvements in banking operations"; "Building agencies, units, and businesses to meet cultural standards"; "Banking with national digital transformation"... These movements have become a widespread driving force, encouraging officials and union members to enthusiastically emulate to successfully complete professional tasks, effectively serving the goals of managing monetary, credit, and foreign exchange policies of the State Bank. Trade union levels have launched emulation movements to study and improve professional qualifications, nghiệp vụ, informatics, foreign languages... to meet the requirements of the industry and the country in the new era. Every year, there are more than
100,000 union members and workers in the system registered to study to improve their qualifications in many forms, thereby contributing to the completion of the political tasks of the unit and the Banking sector.
The emulation movement of good people and good deeds has been concerned and widely launched by trade union levels to workers and employees in the system, with many bright examples such as transaction staff, cashiers, and cashiers maintaining honest and incorruptible qualities that have raised professional ethics values, returning excess money to customers... The above actions have brought a good image of bank officials, contributing to promoting the image and brand of the unit and the Banking industry to the whole society. In addition, the movement to practice thrift and combat wastefulness; the movement Green - Clean - Beautiful, ensuring safety and labor hygiene has been launched and effectively implemented by trade union levels at agencies and units, many banks have saved costs with a total amount of hundreds of billions of VND to increase income and improve the working environment for workers and employees.
Every year, trade unions at all levels have coordinated with professional departments to summarize emulation movements and reward typical collectives and individuals. In the period 2023-2025, over 1,200 collectives and 3,800 individuals were rewarded at the industry level; many individuals were awarded certificates of merit and emulation flags by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the State Bank, and the Government.
At the VIII Congress, term 2025-2030, the Vietnam Bank Union elected Deputy Governor of the State Bank Pham Tien Dung as Chairman of the Vietnam Bank Union and agreed to implement annual targets and implementation targets in the term. In which, every year strive for at least 90% or more of grassroots trade unions to successfully complete their tasks; 100% of workers in the industry are signed labor contracts, fully participate in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance; 85% of female workers achieve the title "Good at work, good at housework"; 100% of female workers are fully implemented policies for female workers according to the law; 100% of grassroots trade unions implement grassroots democracy regulations, preventing collective strikes and labor disputes; strive to collect trade union financial revenues at 100% compared to the amount to be collected from trade union fees and union dues according to regulations; 100% of grassroots trade unions organize financial inspections at the same level on schedule and 10% of grassroots trade unions in large-numbered enterprises are inspected and supervised financially by higher-level trade unions.
