Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Luong Tam - Chairman of the Vietnam Medical Union said that the Conference to commend typical families of workers, civil servants, and laborers and children of workers, civil servants, and laborers with high achievements in studying and training is an activity that the Vietnam Medical Union maintains to organize periodically every 2 years.
At today's Conference, the Vietnam Medical Union commended 106 typical families of workers, civil servants, and laborers and 69 students with high achievements in studying and training.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen - Deputy Minister of Health requested the Vietnam Medical Union and grassroots trade unions to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation; strongly focus on grassroots levels; grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers; and better perform the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.
In particular, it is necessary to continue to pay attention to family and children's work; replicate typical family models; build a united, humane, and professional working environment; create conditions for each health official to feel secure in their work, promote their capacity, maintain their sense of responsibility and be attached to the industry for a long time.

Sharing at the Conference to commend typical families and children of workers, civil servants, and laborers in the health sector with high academic achievements, Ms. Vu Mai Lan - Member of the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union, Head Nurse of the Lung Transplant Center, cum Deputy Head of the Nursing Department, Central Lung Hospital - told about the silent sacrifices of the nursing team and the companionship of families behind each case.
According to Ms. Lan, the work at the Lung Transplant Center is very intense. Transplants lasting overnight, on holidays and Tet, having to be on duty at the hospital has become familiar to doctors and nurses.
According to the female nurse, behind the overnight shifts is always the sacrifice and understanding of loved ones.
Not only is she a nurse, Ms. Lan also has more than 10 years of participation in trade union work. According to her, many nurses are still facing work pressure and difficult family circumstances. Therefore, the care of the trade union organization is of special significance.
She cited the case of a female nurse suffering from a serious illness, whose family continuously encountered upheavals that caused economic exhaustion. The Trade Union of the Central Lung Hospital launched a campaign for all union members to donate and support funds, and at the same time assigned colleagues to take turns helping and taking care of the family.
After a period of treatment, she returned to work. Looking at the emotional tears of colleagues, we see even more clearly the meaning of the trade union organization for workers," Ms. Lan shared.
