Accordingly, the subjects eligible for English reading marking are children of officials, union members, and workers in difficult circumstances in the Vietnamese Coal - Mineral Industry.
Attending the program were Ms. Do Hong Van - Member of the Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Bui Phuong Chi - official of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh - Vice President of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Trade Union, along with representatives of trade union leaders of units in the coal industry, parents and children of union members and workers.
At the program, 100 sets of English reading and learning markers were handed over to children of officials, union members, and workers in difficult circumstances.
This is a practical activity, showing the concern of the trade union organization for caring for and supporting workers' children, especially those families who are still facing many difficulties in life.
English reading and learning markers are digital technology application devices, supporting children from 5 to 10 years old to learn English at home. Each set of devices can be used for many children in the same family, thereby promoting long-term effectiveness and spreading value to many beneficiaries.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Do Hong Van emphasized that caring for and educating children is always an important task of the trade union organization because this is an investment for the future.
Every year, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor implements many practical activities to respond to the Action Month for Children, contributing to creating better conditions for children, especially children of union members and workers.
According to Ms. Do Hong Van, for the Vietnamese Coal - Mineral Industry, where there are many workers working in special production conditions, caring for and taking care of the children of workers is even more meaningful.
The Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor acknowledged and highly appreciated the results that the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Trade Union has achieved in caring for the children of union members and workers in the past time.
At the same time, expressing the desire that trade union levels in the industry continue to maintain and replicate practical models and activities, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of union members, workers and workers' families.

Through the program, the trade union organization continues to affirm its role in accompanying union members, workers and families, creating conditions for workers' children to study, develop comprehensively and rise up in life.
Previously, implementing Plan No. 106/KH-TLĐ dated May 14, 2026 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on organizing activities to care for children of union members and workers on the occasion of the Action Month for Children in 2026, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor allocated 7,000 sets of English reading and learning markers (accompanied by a set of digital technology books) to give to children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
Beneficiaries are children of union members, workers working in industrial parks, export processing zones, remote areas, and areas with difficult socio-economic conditions.
Priority is given to children in special circumstances; children who are orphaned of their father or mother due to labor accidents, serious illnesses, natural disasters, and epidemics.
Age from 5 to 10 years old. Each family does not have more than 1 set of books.
