On June 14, the District 8 Labor Federation, Ho Chi Minh City held a conference to summarize the activities of District 8 trade unions in the period of 2023 - 2025 and a ceremony to thank the district's trade union officials.
The conference was attended by nearly 200 affiliated grassroots union officials.
At the conference, delegates reviewed the results of District 8 Trade Union activities for the 12th term in the 2023 - 2025 period with impressive and proud results in caring for union members, workers, developing union members, grassroots unions, etc.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Truong Cong Ho - Chairman of the District 8 Labor Federation - thanked the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Committee, organizations and unions of the district for their attention and support for the activities of the District 8 Labor Union and expressed gratitude for the great and persistent contributions of generations of union officials in the district.
Mr. Ho also emphasized that District 8 trade union activities have fulfilled their historical mission and shifted to a new organizational model. This is the time for each union cadre to further promote the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, proactiveness, creativity, actively contributing, and being ready to sacrifice their own to the changes of the organization and apparatus to contribute to development in the next stage.
On this occasion, the District 8 Labor Federation also awarded Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Emulation Flags and Certificates of Merit from the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, Certificates of Merit from the District 8 Labor Federation to outstanding collectives and individuals in 2024 and in the activities of the grassroots trade union of the school sector in the 2024 - 2025 school year.
