Starting work as a preliminary processing and box-landsading worker after nearly 20 years of working, Ms. Duong Thi Phuong Anh (born in 1984) was appointed as Head of the Production workshop Statistics Team, Standing member of the Trade Union of Nam Can Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company, Member of the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of Nam Can District (now Nam Can Commune, Ca Mau Province). She is also one of the typical examples of the emulation movement "Good at public affairs, good at housework", an exemplary party member, playing an active role in the grassroots trade union organization, being honored as an excellent female union member at the district, provincial and national levels, and being awarded the Nguyen Duc Canh award organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

During the work process, he always maintains a high sense of responsibility, is not afraid of difficulties, and is willing to work overtime to ensure the work is completed on schedule. Always grasp the actual production situation at the workshop to promptly provide accurate statistics, serving the management of the company's leaders. Regularly coordinate closely with other departments to limit errors, contributing to improving production and business efficiency.

As a union official, for her it is an honor and an opportunity to actively participate in emulation movements launched by the union and the company, participating in building a clean and strong political system. According to her, the union organization is the motivation for her to have many initiatives that benefit the company while also training herself and her family.

Many initiatives benefit businesses

With a high sense of responsibility and dedication to work, Ms. Phuong Anh proposed many initiatives to improve techniques, contributing to saving production costs and improving labor productivity, such as: initiatives to use nylon cards to replace paper cards in production, reuse; use stainless steel baskets to replace plastic baskets, avoid breaking and dropping debris into products.

A typical example is the packaging savings initiative. Packaging is cleaned and reused when it is torn, thereby saving the company more than 200 million VND annually; recognized by the Board of Directors as a typical initiative applied to production and business from 2018 to present, spreading throughout the company for everyone to learn and follow.

At the same time, Ms. Phuong Anh is also actively studying to improve her professional accounting skills. As Head of the Statistics Team for many consecutive years, she always reports timely and accurate data to the board of directors, honestly and objectively about the productivity of workers and the output of agents. Regularly care for new employees, teach and support employees to complete their tasks together.

Ms. Phuong Anh shared: Coming from a worker, I should understand, be close, listen to the thoughts and aspirations of workers, thereby advising the Executive Committee of the Trade Union to organize many activities to care for the lives of union members, especially female workers in difficult circumstances, helping workers feel excited, feel secure at work and stay with the company for a long time.

Before being honored to be selected to attend the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress for Workers and Employees in 2025, Ms. Phuong Anh had many achievements: 2 consecutive years (2023-2024) as a Party member who completed her tasks excellently; 5 consecutive years (2019-2023) were awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor for outstanding achievements in the emulation "Good workers, creative workers". In 2023, she won the "Nguyen Duc Canh" Award, which is a noble award presented by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. In 2025, she was honored to be one of 95 faces of the "Outstanding Workers as Party members of the Communist Party of Vietnam for the First Time - 2025".

From a simple female worker to a delegate attending the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress for Workers and Employees in 2025, Ms. Phuong Anh demonstrates the perseverance, bravery, and enthusiastic heart of female union officials in the new era.
