Happy to stand in the ranks of the Party
January 19 was an unforgettable day for Lo Van Thieng (30 years old, a worker at Huada Co., Ltd., Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park). That morning, Thieng wore his best outfit, anxiously waiting for the moment when he was given the decision to join the Party, shouting the oath before the Party flag. In 2016, after graduating from college, Thieng moved from Son La to Hai Phong, working as a warehouse keeper at Huada Co., Ltd. For the past 8 years, Thieng has always been an exemplary employee, the warehouse where Thieng is in charge is always scientifically arranged, leading in ensuring occupational safety and hygiene, fire prevention and fighting. In 2024, Thieng was awarded the title of excellent worker by the company. The joy doubled when he was one of two workers at Huada Co., Ltd. admitted to the Party on January 19.
“On the first day of joining the Party, I was extremely happy. Although I was a migrant worker, I was given the opportunity by the city’s departments, branches, and unions to train, strive, and be admitted to the Party in Hai Phong. That helped me to be more determined to improve myself and become an exemplary Party member,” Thieng shared.
Mr. Lo Van Thieng is one of 40 outstanding union officials and workers of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Trade Union who were admitted to the Party on the morning of January 19.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Quang - Secretary of the Trade Union - Enterprise Party Cell (Hai Phong Economic Zone Party Committee), the 40 outstanding people admitted are all typical faces, representing the advanced labor force from 25 enterprises in the industrial parks in the area such as An Duong, Dinh Vu, Nam Cau Kien, Nhat Ban, Trang Due, VSIP. Among the 40 new party members, the labor force is young, well-trained, with high professional qualifications (62.5% have university and college degrees), 47.5% of party members have foreign language certificates in English, Korean, Chinese, Japanese...
Nurturing "nuclei" for the Party from the trade union movement
It is known that since the beginning of the Party Congress term, the Economic Zone Trade Union at all levels has introduced 1,285 outstanding people to the Party Committee, reaching 147.5% compared to the previous term. The Hai Phong Economic Zone Trade Union coordinated with the Party Committee's Propaganda Department to organize 12 classes to foster awareness of the Party, equipping the outstanding people with the necessary provisions on the path to striving to join the Party.
Ms. Ha Thi Hong Nhung - Secretary of the Party Cell, Chairman of the Trade Union of Horn Vietnam Co., Ltd. (An Duong Industrial Park) said that on January 19, the Party Cell of Horn Vietnam Co., Ltd. was honored to have 2 new Party members admitted, bringing the total number of Party members in the cell to 17. Each Party member is a "nucleus" in emulation movements in labor production, achieving high achievements in professional activities, good sense of discipline discovered by the grassroots trade union, introduced to the Party for training and admission. After being in the ranks of the Party, the sense of responsibility, awareness and ethics of employees are further enhanced, contributing significantly to the development of the enterprise.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation suggested that the Trade Unions at all levels discover factors and introduce outstanding people to the Party, which must be closely linked to the building of a strong Trade Union organization. Trade Union activities must truly create trust among workers in the wise leadership of the Party, thereby arousing their desire to contribute and to stand in the Party's ranks. The Economic Zone Trade Union continues to promote Party development work, giving priority to training and introducing cadres who have grown up from workers to the Party. Each grassroots trade union strives to introduce at least 3 outstanding people to create a source for establishing enterprise Party cells, actively contributing to the common cause of the country and the city.
