Received notification from the network operator
The first sign is that the user has received a message or notification on the network operator's application requesting subscriber confirmation or information updates.
According to the Telecommunications Authority (Ministry of Science and Technology), telecommunications enterprises are continuing to send notices to subscribers who need to be reviewed, verified or re-engaged in contracts according to regulations.
If you have received a request but have not fulfilled it, users should proactively check the subscriber status.
Never confirmed status on VNeID
Another sign is that users have never accessed VNeID to confirm phone numbers in their names. Currently, management agencies are asking people to confirm subscribers who are using and subscribers who are not using on VNeID.
According to the Telecommunications Authority, there are still about 25 million subscribers whose status has not been confirmed by users. By June 15, 2026, these subscribers will be temporarily suspended from the departure service according to regulations.
Has a strange phone number in my name
Many people only know that they are in the name of many subscribers when they first check on VNeID. According to data from the Telecommunications Authority, about 1.6 million numbers have been confirmed by users not to be used after the review process.
If they detect a phone number that is not under their jurisdiction or it is unclear who is using it, people should handle it soon instead of ignoring it.
Information updates are being requested
Some cases are requested by network operators to update subscriber information or carry out additional verification. This is also a group that needs special attention in the coming time because slow implementation may lead to handling measures according to regulations.
