Accordingly, users can optionally share the nearest activity location with friends on the map. This feature is turned off by default and is only enabled when the user allows it.
Instagram offers many customization options such as sharing with all friends, close Friends lists, a few specific accounts or not sharing with anyone. Users can also limit displaying locations at certain locations or when traveling with specific people.
The new feature is reminiscent of Snapchat's Snap Map, although it doesn't have cute animations. Previously, Instagram had learned from Snapchat many times such as friendship cards and looping Stories interfaces.
In addition to location sharing, Instagram has also officially launched a repost feature - allowing users to share re-shared public posts on Reels and on the news feed. reposted items will be recommended to friends, displayed in a separate tab on your personal page, and automatically recorded as the original author. Users can add personal notes for each repartition.
Finally, Instagram deploys a friends tab in the Reels section - which displays the public content that your friends have interacted with. This feature was tested earlier this year and is now being released globally.
All of the new tools have started updated today. Users can check in the application to use it.
