The Workshop and Exhibition “Application of technology to support healthcare for the elderly” - Vietnam Golden Age Care 2024 took place on the morning of November 27. The event was organized by Quang Trung Software Park (QTSC), Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Support and Consulting Center (DXCenter), Vietnam Digital Technology Alliance (VNITO)... and many other units.
This is an important event in the context of Vietnam and the world facing a rapid aging population. The increasing number of elderly people in Vietnam is posing many challenges for health care and improving the quality of life.
According to statistics, the country currently has more than 16 million elderly people (accounting for 16% of the population), a number that is expected to double by 2050.

In particular, the development of technology has brought new opportunities to improve the quality of health care for the elderly, reducing the burden on the health system and families.
At the event, experts from KPMG Consulting Company, Thong Nhat Hospital and many other technology companies gave in-depth presentations on the issue of elderly health care, needs, current situation in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam, and world trends in applying technology to elderly health care.
Through that, participating units introduced the latest technology solutions, especially AI solutions to support the elderly in health care, reminding them to take medicine, see a doctor, and warning when there are abnormalities; introducing trends for new generation nursing homes (inpatient, semi-inpatient, outpatient), tourism trends combined with relaxation, health care, and health care to suit the needs of the elderly...
